I say we rest lycett so he's right to go for the game the following week. I'm that confident we don't need our best 22 to win the first final. Not saying dogs won't throw the kitchen sink, i just think if we are to go all the way we can't have him not playing in bigger games.

I don't think he's a bad person, I just don't understand the point in being a fan of anything just to be constantly pessimistic about it. How ****ing glum a person would you be?

Bring in McInnes? As John McEnroe would say, "You cannot be serious!"

McInnes is a complete liability as a ruckman; no hit outs, no marks, bugger all disposals. We've tried to develop him as a ruckman because it became obvious he wouldn't make as a key forward. He'll be off the list next for sure. Mitch Brown would be a better option if we are reduced to that.

I think our forwards are nimble enough to play wet weather footy. Maybe back in the day, when forwards were big, slow, and ran in straight lines, they may have struggled in the wet, but ours are very good on the ground. Our kicking game will struglle if it's really windy, but if it's just wet, we should still be ok. They'd also be hesitant to rush so many players back, to come play in a hard slog, plus the flight there and back. This could work in our favour.

Bulldogs play under a roof most weeks. I don't think wet weather footy exactly suits them very much.

It might turn in to a Melbourne type game, but we're not in that timid/negative head-space anymore.

The only change I think that could be seriously considered is Nelson.

Bulldogs really launch their attacks off half back - we may choose to play a reverse tag by playing Nelson on a forward flank.

If selected he could be played in preference to Hill.

However I think this is unlikely and Simo will stay with the same winning formula.
