Symonds should be back, he's a confidence-driven player, one big innings and he'll be back to his best, just needs the selectors to show a bit of faith in him.

Let him get that big innings at domestic level then where it should be easier.

Quiney is younger and although is yet to crack an OD ton, has much potential.

Katich is a completely different cricketer from where he was a few years ago. He is much more aggressive in a controlled manner and could quite easily play a big role for the team. But obviously isn't in the mind of the selectors at present so that is that.

You can't compare what he was like 5 yrs ago to now - have a look at Hayden for example, he got picked then dropped and came back a much, much better player.

I think Katich would be fine also today. But they've said they won't pick players who they don't see as part of the 2011 world cup - him and Hodge have been written off for ODIs.

Reminds of Langer a bit, who would've been great in the ODIs in his later years where he became more aggressive but we just didn't need him.

I think we all know there will be minimal changes. Probably Katich, White and maybe Hilfenhaus will play. But how about being brave and trying some different players.

Geeves....not sure he offers more with the ball than Hilfenhaus. As he does offer way more with the bat he'd be in the Test team if he offered more with the ball as well.

He performed well last Friday too. Don't let the unluckiest of run outs disguise that. He looked the part and valued his wicket.

ATM he looks good compared to the rest but if Lee, Tait, Hilf, Siddle, and Clark were fit/firing and Bracken picked up an injury... he'd struggle to get back in the team.

Ever worked out the difference between ODIs and Tests? Bracken style of bowling will never allow him to play Tests but suits the one-day game perfectly. That's why the world rankings have him no.1. I'll believe that before I believe the crap you spilt. Mainly cause they know way more.
