Surely you're kidding. No contact to the head at all. Got him in the shoulder. Very lucky, but will be thrown out.

I'd persist with Tabs. Mayne I'm done with ATM.

Out - Clarke, CPearce, Mayne
In - APearce, Sandi, Johnson & ball use plz

I don't agree with it, but there's a diagram in the handbook, the top of shoulder is treated the same as the head when the player is front on.

I will play the same line up with sandi coming in for either Clarke or griff, we need to get burn my GC speed to know how far we are behind.

Issue with Barlow is he with the role he plays, he is getting the ball in space (and butchering it) rather than in close and feeding it to the players with skill.
Either stick him in guts and let him waddle around dishing out handballs, or switch him with someone with some pace who can use the ball effectively.

Pick either Sherro or Sutcliffe, dont want to see both playing halfback. Both still look like they havent hit the gym at all. The
backline needs elite skill and players who are strong in the contest, at the player, ball, have to get the combinations right.
Still waiting to see different midfield rotations, players used in the half's, Blakey, Weller, Langdon, need AFL games, and where
is Crozier at?
Ross needs to make some tough calls on experienced players, their time is almost up at Freo, and we need to improve skills, pace,
or get left behind.
Last rant if Freo offer D Pearce a new two year deal, we have rocks in our heads, one year deal is generous.

Clarke has injured a knee, pav probably suspended ( I hope he hasn't played one season to long) so two more as Ross won't make more the four changes, Fyfe got hip injury so could be doubtful.

If up to me I will offer d.pearce pay as you play contract one year too generous, even lee spur two is totally mindless.

Hopefully that was our worst game for the year out the way, i expect a 200% better performance from the boys next week.

Out= Clarke, Mzungu, Griffen
In= Sandi, Langdon,Johnson

If Bennel gets up he will replace weller and i don't think we need two ruckmen

It's never as bad as it seems, so today's performance should be viewed with a bit of perspective. IMHO, the team will bounce back hard next week.
That being said, we have some major issues with the team (sorry for stating the obvious). I think it starts with Ross and his seeming inability to trust younger talent and
build a team with longevity. Bringing new players in at a steady, considered rate is essential to the life and development of a footy team.
I'm not going to pot Ross as he is one of the most important and influential individuals in the history of our great club, but clearly he struggles with change.
Our recruitment policy of "best available" rather than needs basis has also let us down over the past 3 or 4 years.
I think the next month or so will be very interesting.

The way I look at the changes is this way:

Mayne, Taberner, Mzungu, Clancee Pearce, Zac Clarke, Jonathan Griffin,Nic Suban, Deboer aren't good enough for this level...
Taberner gets a pass as he's tall and unless Apeness or Smith comes good he'll stay.

Barlow is marginal at best.
Apart from Taberner the guys in the list have had 6-8 years to prove their worth.

As far as I'm concerned when their position comes up in the selection board their name should only be put on the team list where there is no one younger to take their place...
We aren't winning a premiership with this list currently.

Fast tracking these kids, the same way Beveridge has done, the way Longmire is doing is a priority.
We need a new support group to go around Fyfe, Bennell and Neale.

We're now developing a list not premiership searching

What annoys me about Suban is that his deficiency is obvious to everyone. He has no evasive skills. But still, every time he gets the ball, he tries to duck, weave, and break tackles. He never succeeds and only puts himself under more pressure. He has a beautiful long left foot, just kick it as soon as you get it kiddo, the longer you take the worse it gets.

Subans problem is AFAIK that he has no right foot. He continually gets correlled on his right. Its a glaring deficiency and the other teams know it.

Sure make changes but and a big but ,only a few at Peel are good enough . Apart from A Pearce and Bennell who are shoe ins plus Blakely, Langdon, Collins looking at Peels season so far are worthy of a spot.
Johnson,Sandi plus Bennell and Pearce are certain ins with Mora the big question mark .4 changes and maybe Mora and say a Langdon or Blackley. Six or seven changes is a huge turnover. That should make everyone calling for changes pretty happy. Wont happen this week but will in the weeks to come. I think the club is working on this transition .Ross in the weeks before the game was strangely non bullish about our early games.

My team for next week:

Grey Silvangi Johnson
Hughes Collins Sheridan
Langdon Blakely Crozier
Yarran Pearce A Weller
Walters Smith Deluca

Sandi Bennell Neale

Fyfe Tucker Uebergang Mundy

Sandi and Johnson will come back this week. I'd like to see 3 more.

Sandi and Johnson improve things.

I haven't included Bennell, who given his history may be a 6 week casualty...

What ever happened to mayne being put down back. Not a bad mark and defensive pressure is his specialty. We cant keep going on with him up forward he is a waste of space but who can replace him?

I actually don't care that much if Langdon etc don't star and we don't win.
What I want to see is an improvement in method and lessening of turnovers and some extra pace.

Suban would have been better off trying to be a Thugby player or something.
