Meh trade Lindsay for peanuts or pay him out
Filth supporters losing their s**t @ Browny playing this week.
Serial moron ox insisting that players that leave the field on a stretcher should automatically miss the next week regardless of medical advice.
I'd prefer to trade you to the Sydney Swans.
I like Ox. And I kind of agree with him. If a player is ruled out for the game after a concussion incident I think a mandatory one week wouldn't hurt. Won't surprise me if they bring that in next year. Mind you there's no real definitive evidence to suggest that it would actually hurt you (well not that I've heard) if you did get a knock so close to the one, but AFL will probably go with the safe side eventually.
Sadly it's true. If Lindsay couldn't be reinvented as some sort of midfielder we needed to free up his spot in the forward line to let the tyros have a crack.Love Lindsay and Lachie but it makes no sense to play them, regardless of their form in the twos. Get games into the kids, and make a decision on keeping the older guys once the year is out.
Yeh but the thing with concussions theres still a lot of gray areas. I've heard them talk a lot about it this year on SEN....more so with a specialist who came in on Finey's show (or was that last year.....maybe my concussion in 3rds is catching up with me hah) Even with specialists in this area its still being heavily researched. So the AFL may take a safer route in fear of legal suits later down the track.Mate, there's these things called "doctors".....................

Oh I wasn't debating that....thats for sureS.E.N. vs Doctors
Hmmmmm...............decisions, decisions.
The problem with that is if the doctors/trainers are not sure if a stretcher is needed or not they will be under pressure not to bring out the stretcher. It's better to be safe than sorry so such a rule is just plain stupid. To be honest, doesn't surprise me The Ox thinks it's a good idea.I like Ox. And I kind of agree with him. Sorry what I meant was that if a doctor rules a player out after tests for the rest of the game; that I wouldnt have a problem if it was a mandatory one week.....what he said after (as I forgot those extra parts) were a bit over the top.The problem with that is if the doctors/trainers are not sure if a stretcher is needed or not they will be under pressure not to bring out the stretcher. Wasn't the rule of thumb 1 week off after a concussion but the medical fraternity come to the conclusion that it was pointless if it could be shown you had no lasting effects? Dont they now do their tests at the end of the week as well so they make sure the player is right to go.Sorry what I meant was that if a doctor rules a player out after tests for the rest of the game; that I wouldnt have a problem if it was a mandatory one week.....what he said after (as I forgot those extra parts) were a bit over the top.
I thought it was the rule too but like everything in the AFL it seems to disappear.Wasn't the rule of thumb 1 week off after a concussion but the medical fraternity come to the conclusion that it was pointless if it could be shown you had no lasting effects? Brown won't play. Not a good look if he does. Stretchered and sent to hospital. If i was Scott i would be telling Browny to take the rest of the year off and go spend 3 weeks on an island somewhere.
