I really hope Knights can get back into the team this week. We've missed his gut running across the half forward line and his penetrating kicks. He'll be underdone but at least Porps and Burton had a run around last week!

Tippet is suffering from knee tendonitis. Is there anyone left? Think Craig, Hart and Bickles better get the boots out of storage.

Geez, I reckon we should forget about this season and start tanking for that #4 draft pick now, in the hope that Scotty Clayton does his usual trick in going for 3 anorexic half back flankers and leaves us the bloke who genuinely deserves to be picked at #1.

If it is tendonitis rather than any strain or structural damage then you'd expect he would get a cortizone injection at some stage this season. I don't know how long they last- 3-4 months? He might need to manage it until June then get the injection after that.

Otherwise he would need 4-5 weeks off without any running/riding to let the inflamation settle down. Can't see us doing this though!

While I didn't see the game last week, I'm surprised that anyone was disappointed in Burton's game against Sydney. One thing the Birdman has is a history of coming back from injury (he's been hurt enough times!), and his history clearly shows that his first game back he struggles with his timing and looks awful. And that's whether he's had a SANFL hit out on the recovery trail or not. Anyone who had any expectations of him last week beyond survival was kidding themselves.

Let's see how he goes with a run under his belt.

You're kidding right? Do we practice stomping on each other's knees at training or something...

Is he in any doubt to play? If he misses, then I'm afraid that Bock is going to have to play up forward.

not likely given our record with first round draft picks!!

I would assume Tippett will still be playing? Is knee tendonitis something that can be managed through a season without missing games? I bloody hope so!

He has had this issue thoughout the PS and still has it. Its something that is being managed but eventually there would need to be something done about it. I am certain he will continue playing with it.

From my understanding, Kurt and Scott Thompson have every Friday training off to rest before games. Obviously Kurt's knees/legs are a little sore but not too sure what's wrong with Thompson. I think he has knee soreness too.

yeh, i remember they mentioned that 2 Crows players will be having Fridays off from training (not sure if it was for the entire season or just further notice), because they're not allowed to train 2 days in a row (as recommended by their medical team) because of the strain it would put on their injuries, which must only recover with time/rest. they'll still be able to play, as long as they manage it well.
Schmidt has been upgraded. Maybe in line for a call up
i think only if Goodwin doesn't pull up, which i seriously hope he does, because we're going to need everything we have to get a win at this stage.
