You think Blair will be traded? For what? Lol, he'll be delisted come years end which is why it is totally and utterly bizarre that he's still getting games ahead of the kids.

Wont somebody think of the children...

The weeping and gnashing of teeth her is truly amazing. You would think that if Blair gets another game or 4 and the combined group of Aish, Kirby, Daicos, Brown, McLarty et al miss a combined 1-4 career games between them the whole club will implode. These are all either developing or borderline 22 players. Them getting an extra senior game in 2017 is not going t make a major difference especially if the MC deems Blair a better option currently. Love the passion but really really.

I honestly do think now the club is just trolling it's supporters by keeping on selecting him

He is prob the guy with the least future than anyone else on our list

I suppose we should accept the trolling and just laugh, so thats what i am going to do

Laugh myself to sleep

Will be a maniacal laugh too, hope i dont scare the neighbours

I have a horrible feeling the second half of the Adelaide game will continue into the first half of the North game.
You are correct...the scores at the end of the game last were level.
This week we shall start the game with level scores...
No change...

80 odd points kicked on us in a half of footy is a worry though. Particularly when the focus from the coach has been on limiting scores. Hopefully we can turn that around against North as it would be a good tonic to smash the shinboners

Im not concerned about the first year players. No issue with them developing in the 2s. But to play a guy like Blair who IMO has no future ahead of someone like Aish who we have invested heavily in and now seems to be doing all the right things in the twos staggers me.

Its an opportunity to give him 4 games to prove if he is up to it but instead we stick with a bloke we know is not that good. Beggars belief really.

The issus is that the MC deems Blair a better option not that 1-4 games would make a huge difference in the long term.

I cant speak for others but despite usually being of the opinion the club often knows better because they have all the info in front of them, the constant selection of this guy is frightening.

How any group of people could come to that conclusion on the available evidence is in my opinion (and in conjunction with the Mayne decision) symptomatic of a group under so much pressure to make the resigning of Bucks palatable that they cant see the forest from the trees.

And what exactly are we gaining by playing Blair

Selection melt threads a bit of a fizzer this week I see.

But the second half of tomorrow's game will be the same as the first half against Adelaide?:) If that was the case, we'd smash North out of the park.

Yet I'm not confident. We have had fits and bursts of playing great footy this year - I think our best in 2017 has bettered our best of the past two-three years (if that makes sense). But consistency still eludes us - big time! - and its so frustrating!

Yeah, the melts have dropped away in terms of intensity and frequency. They seem to track alongside hope and expectation. As the latter declines, so too do the melts. Hard to get the fire going when you're no longer expecting much to happen.

The angst is perhaps more focussed on what it says about the mindset and decision making of those in charge rather than purely Blairs merits compared to others. We are clearly at a stage with Blair where continuing to play him is not enhancing our team's ability to win and it is preventing us from exploring other options... Eg Broomhead, Aish. Not playing him should be a no - brainer.. 99.9% of random pissed punters at the pub can see this... But our match committee can't t. It's just another example of the poor decision making that has rotted out our club for the last 5 years. That's the real reason for the angst.
Otherwise,,, I'm all ears as to why you think playing Blair ahead of say Aish is a good decision by the club.

Personally i do not blame player Blair,
I blame the boot studder for tampering with his boots every week.
This is my banana skin theory and needs an investigation in the internal review.

Probably Blair's 2 goals saved him this week. The wee man is on borrowed time. He knows it. I watched him closely on Sunday, he's playing like he knows this could be the last time. Young players should never be gifted games - they have to demand them and force him out. It's an indictment on Aish and Brromhead in particular that Blair is preferred. There is an argument to play a kid before he's ready in Blair's place. That kid is either Daicos or Kirby. I think Daicos is injured and from what I hear/read the MC have misgivings about Kirby's tank.

It's the game plan, the guys were simply out on their feet in the second half, once the pressure dropped off around the middle tbe floodgates opened.

And we shouldn't have been 50 points up anyway, we got super lucky with at least 4 easy dropped marks in their fwd 50 and lucky bounces/deflections etc etc, IMO the HT lead should've been around 5 goals.

IMO it's Blair who is being gifted games... He was dropped off the back of a 9 disposal game the week before remember. Aish and Broomhead will not produce less than Blair, and we as a club need to get experience into them because, unlike Blair, they are our future and have upside. For where we are at, playing him ahead of these guys only has downside and is very poor selection and list management.

Hopefully we only have a few weeks left of Buckley.

Yes - I see your point, but on the flip side Broomy and Aish haven't bashed the door down and that is disappointing. I would have picked Broomy ahead of Blair every week. The fact he hasn't been picked and Blair has speaks volumes not only about the MC, but plenty about Broomy. Am I comfortable with that? Nope. But....I think Blair & Broomy will both be gone at the end of the year. One got the most out of himself. All credit to him. It's a dog eat dog world and he has scratched clawed and hung on for dear life. Broomy and Aish should be miles ahead of him. Neither do enough often enough to bury him. That's where we are

Yep, we seemed to get the bounce of the ball in the 1st half but no more so than it went the Crows way in the 2nd.
