For the sake of the exercise I have listed ten players in "dropping order" ...the ten most likely to make way for players coming back from the VFL. The remaining 12 from last weeks game are locks as best 22 (I've included Murray as a lock....thats how confident I am..........in fact I'm also confident about Maynard Aish and Shaz )

Stephenson
Phillips
Crocker
Brown
Langdon
Varcoe
Cox
Maynard
Aish
Scharenberg

I concur 100% with you ( I would have Langdon at the top - he is a spud )

Apparently Elliott didn't get through training this morning. Left track early and Bucks surprised he didn't get through.

DeGoey seems a definite in.

Fas in.
Degoey in

Stephenson out
Unlucky Crocker out

Looking at the weather maps.....not convinced id keep cox in if Elliott was available.....and if
both he and Fas had a few games under their belt. As it is, i guess he stays. If he can get close/ match his output of last week, great.

I know. Bucks seemed angry. Seems that he was going to pick him and DeGoey.

Made the statement that the fashion seems to be getting them back in once they have the training behind them rather than play them in the VFL. Used Rioli etc as examples.

I think we name our strongest team this week, which include Elliott and De Goey. We have a long break into ANZAC Day, so plenty of recovery time, but then only a short break into the Richmond game.

So I think guys like Fasolo, Daicos, Wills, Mayne, Blair, McLarty, Sier....and even maybe Darcy Moore if fit will play where required.

This week I just think we go full strength, with an eye on a number of underdone players fronting up for 2 of the next 3 games.

CFC2010

who are you dropping?

I wouldnt play Elliot twice in four games regardless. But that doesnt mean we shouldnt pick him for Adelaide and Essendon and then rest him for Richmond....

Maybe Elliot comes in for Anzac Day and then is rested the week after.
This is so correct.

If the issue is Elliott playing in the Essendon game and having to back up for Richmond, why can’t henkust be rested?

It’s just so simple.

You simply say, Elliott is out v Richmond as we don’t want him playing in such short spaces of time.

(He could still play a half of reserves if required or not, whatever.)

No shame in being managed in circumstances like our fixture.

That is one of the most pointless things to do.. How can you think about that?

With fas, Elliot and Degoey all coming back in in the not so distant future do u think that takes away from WHE and pushes him into more mid or wing time?

Hoping he stays foward cause he’s looking very dangerous

Also do you think bucks after seeing Steele kick 3 last week will try Steele more foward now or once those 3 guns come back in will keep him away from the goals
I’m not sure about what may happen,

But I sure like your avatar.

Elliott in many many ways he’s such an important player for us.

Great shame, we may never see him all out full throttle for a few seasons on end.

Too our detriment.

No it's not.

It's silly and looks stupid. Just play him in the VFL until gets right and bring him. Thats what most clubs do...
Ok.

There you go, didn’t realise.

I just thought playing him say for 2 games out of three is better than just the third game as an example.

Oh well, back to the drawing board for me.

I'd much rather bring him in the third and plays for the rest of the season... Not "two games and rest"
