Assuming De Goey is at the fitness level required after his injury he just comes in.

Sorry, but I suspect Stephenson makes way. He got a taste and will be better for the experience.

I’m suggesting the other potential inclusions might be Elliott, Fasolo with only one being in the frame. Fitness of them being a key aspect.

Crocker might be unlucky here. Not a cracking game but he has that attitude.

I’m also interested in seeing where Sier is at? Maybe he places pressure on someone? Maybe not yet. Unsure.

He hasn't had a great start to the season, missing the aggression we know he's capable of, i'd probably give him another crack though, Crisp was the one he was on my shit list early in tonights game.

He's taking anything that comes remotely near him. He's fine, the obsession on here about dropping him is so far fetched.

Most obvious omission at this stage is Stephenson. Would likely be replaced by Fasolo or De Goey.

Injuries gave Stephenson an opportunity he probably wouldn't have received otherwise so early in the season but he clearly needs a spell in the VFL now as his impact has lessened week on week and he was barely sighted tonight in a game we dominated in parts.

His next opportunity will have to come from excellent VFL form and that is a good thing.

Varcoe was better than the previous 2 weeks but was it anything more than good fortune that he found himself in the right place to be involved with WHE's first 2 goals and people are overrating his performance somewhat because of it?

Only laid the 1 tackle and 5 of his 12 disposals were ineffective. Was bottom 4 in both Supercoach and AFL fantasy points.

Cox is another that while better than round 1 he was barely sighted in the first half with only 4 disposals and this is when we effectively set up the win.

Finished the game more promisingly and will no doubt hold his place but I'd love to see McLarty put some real pressure on him with his displays at VFL level.

I thought Crocker presented well and had a real crack in the first quarter when Carlton looked at their best for the night but strangely faded when we gained control from the 2nd quarter on.

That's disappointing for him as I thought he battled manfully the first 2 weeks up forward and probably deserves to hold his spot because of it.

Good chance only Stephenson will make way for the Adelaide game but with Elliott and de Goey set to resume tomorrow and Fasolo waiting in the wings do we need to push sentiment and a conservative approach aside and simply pick 3 players I believe are in our best 22?

With a 12 day break to follow the Adelaide game why the hell not.

I reckon we will give elliott 2 weeks in the vfl.

AssumingDl De Goey gets through vfl, he comes im for Stephenson. The kid goes alright but he isn't ready.

If Fas and Elliott have big games then id like to see them come in for Crocker and Brown. Neither have done anything wrong but just don't have the scoring power that billy and fas have.

Varcoe continues to be quiet but i counted 4 direct goal assists and some great defensive work so he holds his place

I know we won't drop him but Cox will get outplayed by Talia. He'll just body him and allow Doedee and Kelly to come across and mark or spoil.

Agreed. But if Cox doesn't play, Talia will do the same to Reid or Moore or whoever we have to play forward.
