Not really, I'd back Moore's speed being too much for him and Reid doesn't get pushed under the ball as easily as Cox.

AssumingDl De Goey gets through vfl, he comes im for Stephenson. The kid goes alright but he isn't ready.

If Fas and Elliott have big games then id like to see them come in for Crocker and Brown. Neither have done anything wrong but just don't have the scoring power that billy and fas have.

Varcoe continues to be quiet but i counted 4 direct goal assists and some great defensive work so he holds his place

Brown may not have the scoring power but I thought he played his best game last night

Stephenson has had his taste of the big league. Time for a spell in the VFL to work on some things in his game and to start accumulating 20+ possessions. Are Shaz, Langdon, Howe and Dunn big enough for Tex, Lynch and Jenkins? Do McLarty and Mihocek come into contention? And does the 12 day break between Adelaide and Essendon mean we rush De Goey and Elliott back or hold off? Not an easy week for selection...

I'd love to see Wells, JDG, Fasolo and Elliott in the side sooner rather than later. And I'm itching for a Sier debut.

Interesting to see what comes out of today because I reckon Stephenson is the only obvious out. Not that I don't rate him, or want him to succeed, but he'd definitely benefit from having a run or two in the magoos.

This is a hard one and are really looking forward to the televised VFL today.

If fit no brainers for me:
1. Elliot in for Crocker.
2. JDG in for Stephenson.

The forward form of Treloar, Varcoe, Wilbur and Thomas keeping Fas in the twos.

I think when Elliot is right, it’s either Stephenson or Crocker to go out.
Degoey if played forward also outs as above.
Like a swap somewhere for Phillips, yet can’t find ideal replacement as he at least runs all day, albeit like a headless chook at times.
Sier and Wills are bullocking types and not sure whose spot they can take.
If Adams doesn’t pull his finger out soon, I wouldn’t be averse to dropping him.

If it were me i'd have Fasalo in for Stephenson with DeGoey and Elliot to produce another week in the VFL, all depending on how they perform today.

Can't see Sidey being rubbed out for that, the AFL talk about these two actions and the tackle was all in the one motion. Did he sling him? perhaps a little bit but that kid is a lightweight, just look how he flops in the sharenberg tackle.

Haven't seen mention Dunns performance, was pretty average tonight. Let a poor CHF get a hold of him in Casboult. Won't lose his spot, but must be on watch with McClarty's recent performances.

But I think we still need to find room for Elliott, De Goey and Fasolo, and longer term Wells and Moore.

I'd say the ones most vulnerable are Crocker, Stephenson and Brown.

I suppose it depends how our season is going. If we are 1-5, then play the kids. If we can scrape a few wins over the next few weeks then we'll be playing our best side and some good kids will miss out. Look at Adelaide...they dropped Fogarty this week even though he has been good so far. Lynch is just better at this stage.

I like the structure last night, so I think when Moore is ready, he should take Cox's spot. One of Reid or Moore can backup ruck or even play defensively if we are short.

Assuming Sidebottom is clear....

Two changes at the max, and thats only if the big names play very well in the VFL today.

Elliott another possible in but as stated I''d leave it to two changes maximum.

Other possible outs would be Phillips and Brown but it would be incredibly unfair to drop either of them.

I suppose you could add Varcoe to that list of possible outs. As you say see how we go. I love the way Murray is going, keep wondering is it sustainable but great for team at the moment

Not sure we want three ins next week and gotta take into account how pox Carlton is, even in VFL.

But positive signs and potential good selection headaches for a change. If they back up in the second half maybe all three can come in for Stephenson Brown and Varcoe/Phillips.
