Are we going to be big and tall enough to combat tex Jenkins lynch and McGovern. Seems a step up from the gws game to me. McLarty or Mihocek could come in this week

I'd go with Dunn - Jenkins. Howe - Tex. Langdon- Lynch and Shaz - Macgovern. I reckon we can cover them.

In: Fasolo, Elliott, De Goey they all played well and are clear best 22.

Out: Crocker, Stephenson, Phillips

And just like that there's competition for spots!

I'd love to see Wells, JDG, Fasolo and Elliott in the side sooner rather than later. And I'm itching for a Sier debut.

Interesting to see what comes out of today because I reckon Stephenson is the only obvious out. Not that I don't rate him, or want him to succeed, but he'd definitely benefit from having a run or two in the magoos.

Crocker's been ok, but he'll have to make way when we add Elliott and or Faz to the forward mix. I'd drop Crocker and Stephenson.

JDG Fas and Elliott need to come in but they will probably stagger the ins over the next few weeks.

Hopefully Fas and JDG come in this week and Elliott the week after
I see no point in holding either of them back, were playing Adelaide we need to play our best side and those three are clearly in it.

In:Wills
Degoey
Elliott or Fasolo
Mclarty

Out:Varcoe
Stephenson
Langdon
Adams

Seriously, Adams out when we’re currently 18th in the competition for ground ball gets?

IN: De Goey, Elliott
OUT: Stephenson, Crocker

I would wait another week and re-assess whether that solves our clearance and forward woes and how to restructure if not.

We have a long break after the crows game. If we think we are a chance win play Elliott, if not give him another week in the 2nds and have him right for Anzac Day. Crows are missing a few so could be gettable. Play our best side I say.

Fair call Vankri i was perhaps thinking more about players that turn the ball over and not thinking of ground ball gets.

Pretty simple equation.
Elliott, Fasolo and De Goey locks.

Would also like to see Sier debut this season at some point- he's really starting to develop.

I think Dunn will again take Tex & beat him yet again. Crisp to go to Lynch, Howe to Jenkins, Macgovern can be taken by either Langdon or Schaz.
Murray or Maynard to take Betts. It's a great forward line they have & it will be near impossible to quell them all.

For mine, would keep it simple - JDG and Elliott as the ins and
Depending on Adelaide line up - between Varcoe, Stephenson, Brown, Crocker or Phillips. (Maybe even Cox?)

Fasolo needs another week IMO. Also he needs better bladder control, ran off twice.

I like Crisp to Lynch, but Howe to Jenkins I don't like. Jenkins will just play very deep, thus taking Howe somewhat out of the game, whilst trying to expose the height mismatch. Even if Jenkins does nothing, the reduced impact from Howe will be a win for Adelaide.

I’m a big supporter of Cox but Adelaide is a very risky proposition for him to play against given his current form. Okay against Carlton but Adelaide like to run and their talls don’t panic so I’d almost like to see the resting midfielder at full forward and Elliott and De Goey in, Elliott as the second marking target.

Don’t think Stephenson deserves the game necessarily on form and should be first out but if we want to match them for pace I think Crocker and Cox out simply for the reason that there’s no real position for either in this week’s side. Stephenson then goes out the following week to bring Cox back in.

Fair point on Howe not having an impact. But he didn't really have an impact last night either. Curnow probably beat him on the night. But unless we are switching Reid back down there this week, there is no more height that can compete with him. Jenkins is dangerous but we cannot let tex off the chain either.
Because if we do he will kick a bag.
Dunn has done the job on him before & I'm sure will acquit himself well again. Anyway you look at it, it's going to be tough to match up on their height.
Some rain dancing may prove beneficial.
