I liked Cox but honestly unless he is kicking 2/3 goals a game i think he is going to struggle to hold a spot. Taking 2/3 contested marks and contributing little else isn't going to do much for the side.

A couple of his contested marks on the weekend lead to goals. He also took another strong grab inside 50 that wont count on the stat sheet (disallowed as Reid was paid a free kick instead)

In DeGoey Elliott Fasolo Mihocek/McLarty
Out Stephenson, Varcoe, Cox, Langdon

Tommy Langdon is stiff to miss out but I feel we need more height in or backline over the next two weeks.

Drop Crocker, Steph and Cox. It's harsh, but the reality is that they are not the forwards that De Goey, Elliot abd Fasolo are at this stage. Hopefully it spurs them towards a better performance for the rest of the season. It's felt like ages since we've had young players demanding games in the 2s.
Reminds me of the good old days of Kennedy and Karnezis! :'(

Big break after this game playing last year's grand finalist and then tiny break after ANZAC Day (always a huge game) before we face the reigning premiers.

Tough few weeks, and we will need to mix the team up a lot over that time.

I hope/expect to see all of De Goey, Elliott, Fas, (hopefully Wells), maybe Wills and Daicos get a look-in over that time. Might even get some other cameos. Will need to make quite a few changes for the 3 day break...

Treloar might struggle to get up for the Richmond game.

Is it safe to say Elliot and Wells 100% for Anzac Day?
I would say that Elliott is a possibility it will depend on how he pulls up after the weekend just gone and again next week if he doesn’t get a call up to travel to Adelaide. At this stage probably no for Wells. Didn’t play on the weekend (unless I missed something) and only one more opportunity to get any match time under his belt before ANZAC day.

Wells would be doubtful you would think given he hasn’t played for a few weeks. The others you would think yes along with Sier & McLarty being in the mix based on the form being reported to date.

He also doesn't get allot of the ball and isn't a good kick and is plodder. His ability to get the handpass out is great but Pendles, Sidebottom, Adams and De Goey can all do that and more.

He's someone who can play role but he's not someone who should go into the side ahead of De Goey, Fasolo or Elliott.
Of his 6 games he's averaged 17.2 disposals a game, not bad. Again, his tackling and defensive pressure is clear too see. Point is, he's shown he can play at the level.

She's shown he okay, but he isn't a match winner like either De Goey, Elliott or Fasolo and we have stacked midfield already.

Nothing is 100% with Wells.

Is the club still lying about him being injured again and saying it’s a “workload” issue? Load of shit.

Yep and not the 1st Time the Club Lied about a Players Injury

We will not drop Cox. At the moment with no Moore he absolutely has to play. Il lay out some scenarios.

Dunn gets injured 10 minutes into the 1st then Reid has to go back. We would not have a tall in the forward line.

Then there is of course if Grundy goes down early, who would ruck out the rest of the game.

Cox would be the solution to both of them. Besides, i didn't think he was that bad against Carlton, he was horrible against Hawthorn and didnt get dropped.

I'd love Elliott to come back if he's fit enough. I guess he and the club will make a call on that. Same with DeGoey.
