Could be a few forced changes with injuries and suspension.

Ins:

Armstrong (please)
Motlop (he's ready)
Holland (he isn't that bad)
Ferguson (what a silly decision to drop him in the first place)
Read

Outs:
Bruce (Injured)
Davey (could be suspended?)
Miller (suspended)
Nicholson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heffernan (and don't come back)

That is all. :)

I was looking at the centre bounces today and I saw Heffernen, Godfrey, Rigoni and Jamar representing Melbourne against the likes of Hayes, Ball, Dal Santo and Ackland..wtf?? where are our good players?
What else ********ed me off was the fact that we refused to kick it deep into the forward 50m. Instead choosing to go long to a contest at chf..where there is about a 10% chance that a dees player will mark it.pointless!!!

The one great game Holland played last year was at CHF against St. Kilda when Miller was out. I'm all for him going back in that position - but nowhere else.

And obviously the plan was for Nicholson to play body on body with Gehrig but he just got murdered on the lead. MURDERED. When I looked up and saw Neitz floating around I just thought "well, that's a concession that Nicholson is ********"

Daniher needs to get YZE back into the play, he is being wasted in a forward pocket.
Jeff WHITE needs to step up and be utilised, spends too much time on the bench.
In.
Motlop, Read. Armstrong, Holland
Out.
Bruce, Miller, Davey, ???

How are our draft picks going, Dunn and Bate in best players for Sandy 2nds.

Ferguson has to come in - what kind of message does it send when you effectively tell a guy you think he can only play on the league's cr@p FFs. At the very least the guy should be on the bench - besides he is agile enough to handle mid sized forwards too. Nicholson has been repeadtedly thrashed by Hall in the past.

Ferguson would've done a much better job than nicholson gherig has the ability to lead and lead well ferguson would have at least applied some sort of defensive pressure dissapointing to see him dropped must definatley be placed in the side next week

Holland is a dud in the ruck. i know Jamar aint amazing but he is better. Holland would be like Nicholson in the ruck against the Dogs.

with Miller and Davey apparently cleared then no need for Motlop or Holland.

Fergeson and Read for Nicholson and Bruce and then Armstrong for McDonald if needed

Heffernan may get 1 last chance

Miller and Davey got off luckily.

FERGUSON for Nicholson.
READ for Bruce.
MOLTOP for McDonald (if needed).
Heffernan has to go. And fast.

Revised changes:

In: Ferguson, Motlop, Armstrong
Out: Bruce (Inj), Nicholson, Heffernan

3 talented players in for an injured star and 2 hacks. Sounds good.

I'll second that. As long as L. Williams and A. Nicholson are kept at S. Sandringham for the next few weeks I won't panic.

read will give us some much needed hardness so that will be good. probably not best to bring in armstrong for his first game in ages on an away game that we will have to fight our hardest to win

Personally I'd like to see more than 1 good game in a row from Armstrong before I go rushing him back in. The SCG doesn't suit Ben Holland although I'm tempted. I think Read & Motlop need more match fitness before throwing them into the AFL. Cameron Hunter is in the same boat as Arma but on the right track. C.Johnson is looking the goods but maybe not just yet & P.Johnson will need to get a chance soon but I wouldn't do it this week.

Out: Bruce & McDonald (Injured), Nicholson (Dropped) (There could've been more but I really don't want to promote too many of the above for the reasons mentioned)

In: Ferguson, Motlop (perhaps underdone but his experience & size best match what we lose with Bruce. The smaller SCG shouldn't test out his endurance too much) & Williams (No I am not on drugs, last chance saloon for Willo)

Heff, Sylvia & Bell should probably be dropped as well but I don't think we have anyone I like to see promoted this week in their place.

B: Rivers, Ferguson, Williams
HB: Brown, Miller, Wheatley
C: Johnstone, McLean, Green
HF: Davey, Bizzell, Motlop
F: Yze, Neitz, Sylvia
R: White, Rigoni, Godfrey
I/C: Jamar, Bell, Heffernan, Robertson

Those last two I'd start on the bench to send a message. To Robertson the message would be to keep your head in the game & to Heff the message would be simple go hard or go home.

Robbo's actually a perfect fit at CHF for the SCG & if he works hard he'll win plenty of it I'd say.

Ferguson on Goodes
Williams on O'Keefe
Miller on Hall
Wheatley on O'Loughlin

I agree with you on this one BT.

IMO Belly has to step up, Sylvia is excused and Heff needs a few weeks at Sandy.

Its a good test this week to see where we are really at in the list development, and team progress. It might be a hard month ahead but if we can get a few wins with a few bad injuries it would be awesome.

Lets not get too over excitied with the start of the season, or last weeks loss!

Oh my God. Williams!!!!!
This would be my team FWIW:

B. Ferguson Miller Wheatley
HB. Bizzell Rivers Bell
C. Johnstone Rigoni Green
HF. Sylvia Neitz Robertson
F. Davey Yze Motlop
R. White McDonald McLean
Int. Brown, Jamar, Armstrong, Godfrey

Start Browny on the bench, giving him the message that just because he was good last year doesn't mean he can get away with making stupid cocky mistakes in the backline.

Bizzell really isnt that good in the forward line.

Miller will still present an option and be a presense even if he dun get the ball much.

i say Fergeson on Hall with Bizzell double teaming him. he will have an opponent at the bounce but i guess we need to stop hall so lineup bizzell on their least effective forward then make him run onto Hall.

Rivers can take whoever they put at CHF, perhaps Goodes. may aswell, no one can really run with him totally.
