Fine forget it, it's obviously hopeless. You can forget his 1 kick performance all you like, but I know I wouldn't want to see him being rewarded for games like that.

...and forget his BOG the week before.

but of course even that wasnt good enough because HE LOST THE GAME because he missed a tough shot on goal.

two things shit me off about you drummond.

1 is the over the top norwood love (more so than most other sanfl fans)

2 a pathalogical hatred of jericho.

Pfeiffer without question. Hinge while having solid SANFL form, I think really needs to do a bit more before he get's a game.

As apposed to Darren Pfeifer’s one good game in the SANFL this year?

Darren Pfeifer has about as much chance at playing AFL this week as Mark Ricciuto does. Just as one poor performance cannot be taken into account for selection; nether can one good performance. He needs to show some solid SANFL form before he is a genuine chance.

If Burton and Welsh cannot overcome there current injury in time to play this week, Jericho could be given his opportunity.

I disagree with that. Pfeiffer was reasonably good over the pre season, I was very surprised he didn't get more game time in the practise matches. Then he was high among the best in the prac game in the SANFL and has his face broken by a knobhead somewhere. Comes back from that to once again be very high among the best. Is looking good.

My point is more that Hinge has been solid but not brilliant, Pfeiffer is a class act and too good for the SANFL. Hinge on the other hand doesn't stand out, a good player but not demanding a position.

Hard to know who's out and who's available at this stage but we definitely need someone to play the crumbing forward role. Kenny needs at least a week at the eagles and we couldn't carry him in the same forward line as Stevens, Bock, Perrie and Welsh (if fit). As someone mentioned in another thread, the forward line looks great when the marks are sticking like the day against Port. However, yesterday the ball didn't stick, the forwards went to ground and the ball was rushed down the other end.
Bodey we need you back with one of Porp, Vince or Johncock to play the small lead-and-mark role.

When you think about both losses , it seems to have been a lack of forward pressure ie crumber that hurt us. ( though the Essendon game was a lot to do with attitude imo)

As much as I don't like thinking about the losses, that is very true. In Perrie and Bock we have two hard working forwards who get to a lot of marking contests and are very good at bringing the ball to ground. Throw in McGregor, Hudson or Griffin at times and they will rarely be outmarked. Bode seems to be the only one on our list that has shown the ability to get to the loose ball or at least apply the tackle. Maybe Shirley would be a good option for this role?
Oh, and the Essendon loss was definitely attitude...almost like it was still a pre-season game.

So we are just going to ignore his pre season form then? If it wasn't for some meat head belting him in a pub he could well have played a few games already this year. Also he gives you more options than either Hinge or Jericho as Pfeiff can play HBF or on the wing, hell I reckon he could play HFF if the need arises.

Hold up here!

Are we talking about the same pre-season form that saw him get very limited time on the ground during the pre-season games?!

Here is one fact, if he weren't a redleg, none of you Norwood boys would be flying his flag as high as you are.

Pfeiffer is a great prospect for this club and he will be a very good AFL player. What id don't like about you lot is your willingness to put down other AFC players to pump up the tyres of your norwood boys.

Pfeiffer will play games but lets not get too pedantic about the pre-season form and he is better than some other SANFL players. Hinge has had a great pre-season and would have been a regular fixture in the PS team if not for busting a thumb in the lead up to a game. At this stage Hinge is ahead of Pfeiffer in the packing order and rightly so.

Hinge also can play HB, wing and HF ;)

Please show me once where I have done that. Not once in this thread have I put down another AFC player.

Reilly and Porplyzia are out this week, Bode is no chance, and Welsh is 50/50. Seeing as though McGregor needs a week in the SANFL, 3 players are fighting for either 1 or 2 vacant positions.

In: Pfeiffer, Welsh
Out: Reilly, Porplyzia

Emg: Jericho, Hinge, McGregor

If I had my way, Maric would be emergency instead of Jericho, but we all know that won’t happen…

More chance of Hinge getting a game than Pfeiffer. Hinge has been consistently good in SANFL and has been an emergency for a few weeks. He is a bees preverbial from getting a game.

Hinge doesnt play for Norwood though Stiffy. Personally Id like to see Daz have a few more weeks in the SANFL so he can get match fitness up and a few high possie games before they throw him in

Well if Welsh doesn't come up then the both of them should play. Yes Hinge has performed very well in his two matches for Glenelg this season, but I think there little doubt Pfeiffer is the superior player. But yes unfortunately if Craig is picking between the two, chances are Hinge will get the nod.

But even if Welsh doesn't play, I doubt Craig would play two debutants in the same game; instead he would probably bring in the underdone McGregor.

Nice cheap shot.

Its those thighs... you love his thigh guns :D

And Jonas... he would know about injury... 2 broken legs one after the other :(

geez if jericho is in the mix we are scraping the bottom of the barrell....

nick gill is back in training, hopefully he can push for a game in the next 2-3 weeks

We really don't have many options. Shows how a reserves team wouldn't work unless we had about 20 supplementary players.

Seeing how many games Hart has missed for North due to soft tissue injuries it's turned out for the best he is not still on the list.

Thanks mate, you know im only messing with ya !!! Nah I do agree, Daz is the better player but as I mentioned, its all down to match fitness, which will more than likely see Hinge get the nod, even if it were betweem Jericho and Fyfe I still think Craigy would go with the player who has the match fitness. Hopefully im wrong and Daz plays, I win $50 bucks from Dad that way.

The club has been proven right with both Hart and Clarke for different reasons.

Hart IS struggling with his body as it was thought that he would, while if Clarke had played on Griffin would definitely not have been fast-tracked as he has.

As for who gets a game this week, the problem is that we are 2 mid-fielders down in Reilly who has been excellent and Porps who can be damaging.

Douglas should go into the mid-field as one replacement, but who is the other? Either Hinge or Pfeiffer - most likely Hinge - can take Dougie's spot, but that still leaves us a mid-fielder short.

One other move - god help me for saying it  - would be to play Jericho off a HB flank and play one of Hinge or Pfeiffer in short burst in the mid-field.

We are seriously weakened this week, and in particular in an area in which Collingwood is strong, namely the mid-field.

I'll be more than pleased if we can get away with a win in this game.
