He has to play, we need tougher bodies in the midfield. Hopefully McVeigh can come back aswell. We've been screwed ever since he got that injury.

Why stanton?

He is getting the number 1 tag each week, and not getting protected or supported by team mates, what is he supposed to do?

He had Kane Cornes tagging him tonight.
There were at least ten players worse than him tonight.

A good starting point would be to look at some of these beloved younger players.

I'm really starting to get frustrated with some people on this board.

kane cornes ended up with more possessions and more influence.. maybe stanton should have tagged cornes?? nah.. in all seriousness I know what you mean with ppl bagging stanton.. but you have to admit he does do a lot of running without direction or purpose and most of his possessions are cheap stats.. i just wish he got the courage to try and take on the game and become a true star mid of the comp..

as to looking at the younger blokes.. i am hardly going to blame them.. all they can do is play.. unfortunately it is your mid-career players that determine your success with the older and younger players supporting..

You want to drop Stanton who was tagged by probably the best going around yet still managed to get possessions but keep a player who did absoloutly nothing tonight all because he is 'young'.

We got destroyed tonight because we had so many young players who cannot contribute at this stage in their development. Yet people are happy to keep plodding along with this strategy.

PS : You still didn't answer the question. Besides being young what did Daniher do tonight to retain his spot in the team ?

People calling for Stantons head really amazes me. Yeah he's never going to be a champion MF but all Knights has to do is play him differently. Make him tag an opposition MF and with his endurance he can keep up with anyone. Besides that Kane Cornes is one of the best taggers in the game and who else was he going to pick up?!?!?!?

Being tagged is irrelevant, when he did get the ball what did he do with it??? Turned it over & over as per usual! Darcy did nothing to deserve a game vs Sydney in 2 weeks but either did Atkinson, Nash, Dyson or Jetta. But they all will be in the 22 vs Sydney. If that coach of ours is good enough to play Johns in the backline's 2 weeks in a row then he's good enough to give Darcy another run.

Blame knights for Stanton's poor form. The bloke has totally miss managed stanton. He can kick goals, shove him at full forward as a leading option. or shove him down back try and give him some touches to get his confidence up.

I thought Johns was actually ok tonight.

Angus Monfies must go I failed to see why he wasnt geting picked at the start of the season but it is standing out like dogs balls now. Despite the promise he showed early in his career he has gone backwards and is clearly not up to AFL standard

To his credit, Johns was much better this week than last. But he still can not read the footy coming into the backline. Even Brogan beat him to the fall of the footy on a few occasions. He had a few glimpses. But they are not enough. My concern is that these glimpses will be enough to keep him in the team - but I think that glimpses is all that he is capable of

I didn't think he was great but we looked a lot more likely to get the clearance when he was in there. His second efforts were pretty good.

I'd persist with him in the ruck and a floating role and give Laycock full games in the VFL to get more work into him.

Why do people want Henry out? When he went onto Motlop he nullified his influence. He was pretty good tonight.
