Pears was pretty solid especially in the first half, everytime I see him at senior level he impresses me. Doesnt pannick at all for a 18 year old.

I'd keep him in.

Got beaten a few too many times for ine and didn't do a whole lot. Also gave away a silly 50 metre penalty which handed them a certain goal.

In: Neagle, ? (for Hislop)
Out: Pears, Hislop (if injured)

Jetta wasn't great but perservere I think.

Read an article saying Rama, Michael and JJ will keep trying their plight in the VFL for at least another game, which means non will come in next week due o the bye round this week..

In Watson Neagle
Out whoever is injured.

You thought NLM was good? Douglas killed him imo.

Neagle to come in for Pears imo.

douglas only started to "kill him" in the last quarter.. NLM was good most of the game i thought... i think he deserved his spot.... Although douglas really did give us some headaches late

Knights hinted earlier this week that Michael and Rama are no chance of coming back in. He thinks that 1 game in the seconds is pointless and there was no game for them this weekend.

agree we need a bit of stability, let the young players get used to the same team and see how they go...
if watson is okay bring him in for maybe hislop if he is injured..
neagle for pears maybe but thats it

Ins: Watson (if fit), neagle
Outs: hislop (injured), pears

Sounds good to me.

Bring back Jobe if he's fit otherwise no changes. We need some stability.

For everyone having a go at Jetta, he may not be getting much ball, but he does have good defensive pressure in the forward 50 - which is a highly rated commodity in today's footy. The kid just needs a bit of confidence and one match could turn that around for him pretty quickly. You've to remember it's a lot harder for our slighter size kids to do good in such a young side. Rioli wouldn't be tearing it up if he was playing for us.

Im ready to see Bellchambers get a game. Paddy was pretty disapointing in ruck contests last night and he's gonna have to go to Franklin. Hislop couldnt even lift his arm above shoulder high when he came back on. Neagle and Watson in if fit for Pears and Welsh.

I can't understand why people are suggesting Pears? He looks very assured to me. Picking a kid and then dropping him the week after sends a terrible message to him, esp when he does not play badly. Knights has shown a tendency to keep kids in for at least 3 weeks - I like this

Mate was telling me there was an article in the paper recently about Bellchambers being the second best ruckman in the draft last season. Perhaps Id misunderstood him because I cant see why he wasnt picked up in the national draft. Time to give him a crack because Laycock does not have the required energy and effort to deserve a spot in the team. Trade bait as far as I am concerned.

Im willing to give Jetta another game in the seniors. Patience in waning admittedly but I know the talent is there.

Did he deserve a game in the first place? Picking him after recieving a whipping the previous week sends an even worse message. Only got a game due to injuries.

Neagle should come straight in if he is 100% fit. Unsure over how serious the nature of his injury is. Hopefully we were just being cautious.

Incidentally, is Gumbleton close to a return? Should get a couple of games under his belt as Bendigo and hopefully play the last half a dozen games for Essendon. Touch wood.

I don't think the injury is that serious, it's just an inflamed tendon.

Knights said he'd come back a week after Lucas, so hopefully playing for Bendigo next week :thumbsu:

Im surprised no one has mentioned Welsh's head high charge which will probably get him suspended

Out: Welsh, Hislop
In: Watson, Neagle

Get it out of you head that Bellchambers is ready, let me put it VERY simple for you. He isn't. And if anything we were top heavy against Adelaide. It was a horrid night for marking all accross the board as it was very dewy and it made it difficult. For mine unless Watson is fit, no changes for mine.
