I think we should keep doing what we've been doing until such time as John Reid comes over to you at training and specifically tells you they don't like it, and asks you to stop.

Otherwise, it's just rumour, and really it's easier and more reliable for another team to send their own scouts and spies to Crows training than rely on a fourm.

Or the person who's username of afc.com or afcdotcom (whatever it is) and they ask us to stop.

Isn't the looker room restricted?

Just put it there

The Locker Room is visible to anyone who is logged in, not just people who list the Adelaide Crows as their team of preference. It just means that "guests" (aka lurkers) don't have access.

It is possible to create an invitation only board, but I'm not keen on doing so. For starters, it means that us mods would have to decide who is a genuine fan and who misses the cut - thus disenfranchising newer members in the process. Secondly, it leads to an us vs them mentality, with those who are NOT granted access feeling as if they are second class citizens. Thirdly, I could do without the overhead of having to approve or deny applicants.

If the AFC, through afccomau or anyone else, wish us to restrict the information contained in the training reports then they are welcome to let us know. However, these reports are generally from observation at open training sessions and don't really reveal anything which could not be seen to an observer from another club anyway.

I think it would be fairly easy to do, just with a few rules.

1) you have to have had atleast 6 months on the AFC board
2) you can't talk about the board outside the actual board
3) if you do you get booted.

that way you can have the board, its limited to certain people and if they breach that they are gone.

No, I'm with Vader on this one. I'm still relatively young on Bigfooty, I'd hate to think that last draft period there'd be people posting on the invite only forum and I'd be sitting out on the main Adelaide forum wondering where everyone was simply because I was young in BF terms and hadn't "proven" myself yet. The long-time posters wouldn't bother to post threads twice so newcomers would come in and see a dead, boring board and leave again. I certainly wouldn't be posting so much here if I didn't have interesting people posting back at me. There are scarce little benefits (I'm don't think a mob-like "we like that person enough to let them into our restricted group" is a benefit for the record) for a lot of work and would ultimately lead to less new posters.

I am of the thought that the ONLY reason that training reports should be locked is if the AFC expressly requests it.

Like previously mentioned, they have plenty of presence on here or at least have a very easy time of making it known to some of the people on this board that they don't like the training reports being posted for all to read. TBH I find it very hard to believe they have a problem with it all this time and said nothing.

Leave it as is otherwise.

Cliques and elitists are what ruins society.

I would card you for that avatar!

Is he allowed to change it to Parklands Pete?:p;)

Also, FWIW concerning the post:
