Buddy obviously didn't see this thread was already open, but he's written a good OP which I'll add to this thread.

After watching us play North and them getting smashed by the Blues, I don't think either teams could beat an egg right now.

Still, something has to give. The loser goes 1-5 and fair to say, can effectively start booking their off-season.

Questions to ponder during the week:

- Will Mitchell return?

- Will Dowler or Burgoyne trip over a daisy and further delay their return?

- Will more ruckmen get injured and will Shiels become our new ruckman?

Will certainly be a fascinating week.

I didn't see the game, but I think Birchall may need some practice in the 2's. Ellis has had a couple of ordinary weeks now and Peterson should be rested. Bring Muston back in, and play Lisle in the forward line to replace Roughie.

Bateman : has been poor for way too long, a statement must be made

Ossie : career on knifes edge

laddo: too slow, looks tired, need musto's run here

ellis : tried hard in the last quarter that may save him

peterson - needs to refresh in the ressies

We have to be careful with knee jerk omissions. Team stability is non-existant at the moment. Plus the season is still salvagable, there is no point bringing in kids just for experience now, we need wins!

But saying that, Bateman needs a spell. He has butchered everything for the past 3-4 weeks. JKT stays in the side.

Seems to be a few blokes playing as though they feel they are immune from being dropped due to our injury list.

Some ****ing games from our new recruits would help too!
