Wouldn't say Hendo is a walk-up start yet would we?

Sounds like Stiffy and Macca are a chance to play with no serious issues as yet.

Thats just my op saw enough out of him to say hes ok.

Yes good news about Macca and Stiffy so we could be unchanged unless Danger and or Sellar are ok both of them would play.

Danger cause he is great and Sellar cause he is our second Ruck

Maybe Sellar for Stevens? Dangerfield for Doughty? Henderson/Walker for Burton?

None would happen, all would be fantastic though.

Burtons time is up and so is Cooks,

Appatently Stffiy and Macca may be OK

So I'll go a 25 Man Squad of

In - Dangerfield, Mckay, Knights , Walker, Sloane,

Out Burton, Cook,

F Dangerfield Tippett Poprpoise
HF Douglas Stevens Thompson
C Mcleod Goodwin Van Berlo
HB Schmidt Bock Davis
B Johncock Rutten Petrenko

Ruck
Maric
Vince
Reilly

Interchange
Edwards
Jaensch
Doughty
Mckay
Knights
Walker
Sloane

Knights won't be selected in the 25. He was on Nova this morning and said himself that he's taking it slow to make sure the injury is 100% cleared before playing. He's not quite right just yet so he'll be a few weeks off.

Cook should stay, he won't be any better for being dropped. Burton was liable defensively and should be replaced. Stevens didn't do a whole lot and looked slow.

Probably unchanged unless Danger pulls up and it will probably be Jaensch even though he should stay and be used more. Has a damaging right foot.

Looks like we'll probably get Dangermouse, Henderson and Sellar back this week - according to the latest article on afc.com.au.

Of those, Dangermouse should come straight into the senior team. Serious consideration would be given to rushing Sellar into the team, given our dire need for a 2nd ruckman - but I'm tipping him to resume via the SANFL after 5 weeks on the sidelines. Henderson is by no means an automatic selection and will have to force his way back into the team via Centrals.

The good news is that Johncock and McLeod have only "strained" their AC joints and may play next week, but the 6-day break is against them.

Assuming that Stiffy and Macca pass their fitness tests, then someone will have to make way for Dangermouse. That someone could very well be Burton (though cases could also be made for several of our less experienced players). I'm thinking we might see Burton dropped, replaced by Dangermouse, with Walker remaining in the SANFL. I could live with that change quite happily.

Walker for Burton, Dangerfield for Doughty - and I'd probably go for a second ruckman - maybe for Stevens.

Sellar in for Stevens (Tippett needs to play as a permanent forward, Stevo needs to find form/confidence in the SANFL)

Walker in for Burton (obvious to most, except Craig & Co)

Dangerfield in for Cook (kicking skills too poor for AFL)

Armstrong in if Johncock or McLeod are out injured.

Depending on injuries ..

OUT: Johncock, Cook
IN: Dangerfield, Sloane

Cook or Jaensch ?

Even if Sellar was fit he would have to come back through Glenelg being a Hammy.Same as Sloane he would have to have a SANFL hit out.

Maybe only one change if Paddy is right

This wont happen but I can only hope :)

OUT: Stiffy (shoulder), Stevens (slow and not offering much), Burton (passed it), Cook (needs a rest, must learn to stick taclkes)

IN: Walker (strong bodied leading FF, must play as a Full Forward), McKernan (comes into team replacing stevo and used as 2nd ruck plus can go back or forward if needed), Danger (the machine must play, covers Cook), Sloane (cover for Stiffy and can rotate in midfield)

Agree completely, however will not happen.

Guys just a heads up that we went in unchanged for the first time this year and it yielded results.

Omitions unless someone is really needed are over the top when you consider our injury list at present.

Injured players will come out. Hard to see an omision.

Yes, this week we turned a corner, and didn't have any forced omissions.

This week, however, looks like we've got some first choice players coming back. According to the Superfooty Full Strength Indicator, players out of our best 22 are Knights, Mackay, Dangerfield and Hentschel. Is Sloane good to play this weekend?

Now that players are starting to come back from the horror injury stretch, there will be pressure on players in the side to hold their spots.

Looking purely at the stat sheets, Jaensch, Doughty and Davis are the less performed over the past two weeks.

So assuming Macca and Stiffy get up, there will be no forced omissions, but some omissions to make way for better credentialled players.

So without entering the Walker/Burton debate, I think it would be a good thing to see (omit) after one or two outs for Rd8, or better still, all of the outs (as opposed to (inj)). Nice to see some options at the selection table, it will be very hard to predict the outcome now.

Go Crows! Go and pinch the 4 points off North.

Nah, Walker would come in not Armstrong, Petrenko will go back
then after 1 week Walker will be sent back to the SANFL for a month because "we have too much height in the forward line"

lol (excepting the dropped after one week part) that comes under the "what I would do" heading, not the "whats going to happen" heading.

Thankfully you're not on the selection panel :thumbsu:

If you actually believe that Burton should be playing this week then I dont think you're in any position to judge anyone else's opinions on selections.

Steady on son. I couldn't give a rats tossbag if Burton is replaced with Walker but I'm only going on who I think deserves the spot more. I saw Walker Friday night - he was shit.

Walker for Burton, Dangerfield for Doughty - and I'd probably go for a second ruckman - maybe for Stevens.
Did you even watch the game? Doughty did nothing wrong to warrant the axe, and was in our best I thought. Has redeemed himself over the past couple of weeks.

Agree Dogga was great this past week, NC gave him some props in the post match afaik. No chance of him being dropped.

Danger will come back in if fit. Possibly for either Cook or Jensch.

Sellar on the basis that Stevens needs to go and find some form in the SANFL? How much game time has Sellar had this year? An underdone player for an underdone player makes no sense at all.

As for Dangerfield in for Cook, i'm not sure which one you're suggesting is a poor kick, by my reckoning they're as bad as each other. That said, Danger should come in at the expense of Jaensch.

As you like to say, stats aren't everything. Did you see the game? Did you honestly think he played well? He got cheap goals and didn't do anything to deserve a spot in the team this week.
Umm yeah I actually attend Norwood games.

Cheap goals? How so? The first he was around three opponents and took the mark, he then could've kicked another a minute later but past it off, and his other two were from beating his direct opponent.

If he was told to play out of the square, he'd kick a minimum of 5 goals a game, everyone can see that. He's being asked to play a different role and he's making a good fist of it. I'm not saying he was dominant on Friday night, but to label his game as you did just reeks of desperation, I know for whatever reason you really don't like him.

You're right he wasn't dominant Friday night, he was okay but didn't do enough to deserve a spot in an AFL side. Not Friday night, not the week before, or the week before that. And no unlike you I don't have anything against any of our players, I love seeing Walker play when he's in full flight but his form has been average over the past month. He'll turn it around though.
