My changes aren't really reactive to the loss, I simply think we need to bring in certain players that are better than the ones in the team.

1. Wood goes out for Fraser. All the thing Fraser gets criticised for, Wood does them worse. He has NO intensity whatsoever, is never clean with his hands and has poor skills.

2. Macaffer goes out for Medhurst. This is not because Macaffer choked like Greg Norman, its because Medhurst is a better footballer, so when he is fit, he should replace Macaffer. Macaffer has been soid all year without doing anything particularly bad, or anything all that good. Those 2 set shots were a real worry though, for someone who has played as a permanent forward most of his life.

3. Brown goes out for Presti Same as above, Brown has not been poor, I think he's been ok. But I don't think Presti is finished just yet, and I'm much more comfortable with him playing on the likes of J.Brown. Presti is our premier full-back and assuming 100% fitness, should come back in.

This^^^. As for Davis, he's so valuable when playing well that he must be given time to recover if he's injured, and Lockyer can come in for him.

If Leon is right, and it's a matter of form, then we should persist with him for another 2 or 3 weeks before giving him a VFL break. Dick should be ready by then.

i must be watching different games.. i thought woods been pretty solid these past few weeks. he's a reliable mark, accurate kick, strong bodied..

he deserves to stay in over fraser at this point

OUTS: O'Bree, Davis, Brown
INS: Lockyer, Medhurst, Presti

Presti needs in for Brown.
O'Bree to make way for Lockyer in a forward role.
Medders in for Davis who needs a spell.

Wellingham and Pendles much more midfield time with Obie out.

The Wood I've been watching does not match your description - soft hands, no goals, ghost-like presence. Take off the pink glasses.

IN: Presti, Medders, Fraser
OUT: Brown, O'Bree, Wood

I'm prepared to give Davis one last chance. There was no hope for Leon if we were going to keep bombing long to him with a whole bunch of Geelong players down there.

IF he is carrying an injury, then rest him for Lockyer.

May I suggest to you "MyManDawes" to take off your rose coloured glasses - go back to when Fraser played in one of the earlier games this year when he got 5 disposals for the game - and now you think he has earn't his spot back - you have a very short memory!!!!

If both Wood and Fraser are playing crap both of them should not be in the team. Bring in someone who can contribute to the team in a different way. Whats the point of having 2 rucks when the second ruckman cant win a tap out, take a mark or is just plain useless.

So how handy would you be 'Krueger'? if you think its a cake walk out there have a second look and give some credit to Geelong they are not a bad team for all those on here who appear to be so ignorant and very critical of a very young playing group that collingwood have.

Totally agree with you, he gets out marked by players half his size on a regular basis. But I did see him take 1 contested mark against Geelong, I couldn't believe it was him, thought it was Reid.

So maybe in the future he will develop(maybe). Fraser is defiently a better player than Wood, at this stage, he has experience.

In- Lockeyer,Medhurst,S.Prestigiacombo
Out- L.Davis, B.Macaffer, Reid(simply because Brown has played well in the past on him.

I might be wrong but i dont think reid has had a crack at big jonno brown in his career.
Point still applies though...either n.brown or reid will give way. dont thing it should be reid though not after his game on friday night.

Assuming all three are fit, im okay with those changes :thumbsu:

does everyone else view his games this way? cos if so i'll go back to the replays, but honestly i can't see where the wood criticism is coming from.

I have been thinking about this lots over the past day and was thinking on all the ins and outs for geelong. not brisbane. Horses for courses.

outs: Mcaffer, Brown, Obree
Ins: Medhurst, Presti, Lockyer

I'd leave davis in and play him in the middle, if he doesnt get many disposals something must be wrong and drop him. Im being bias but he is my favourite player in the Black and white and it kills me to see him playing like this.

If Mcaffer is still in the team i will go of my nut. Presti a certainty for fev. Reid on J.Brown. Nathan Brown unlucky but we cant have presti in the two's. To valuable and experienced for our defence.

Obree will be in and out of the team all season, it will be his last imo.
Tarks deserves a recall. We need his disposal(of last season) in the team, which lacked on friday.

Dawes was terrible but i think height might hurt the lions, otherwise id drop him for Anthony. 2 goalless weeks in a row is not good enough, bad game next week and he is gone.

I take it your happy with Woods efforts then 'Bluey64'? Credit to Geelong? Most here know they are the best but to put in such half hearted, piss weak efforts is not good enough. Young or old has nothing to do with what Im saying - the effort is what Im talking about. Dawes was getting smashed by his opponent too but atleast he was trying his guts out.

Dawes spend some time in ruck get his hands on it. Push Reid forward took some very nice marks down back.

Out: Davis, Mcaffer, Wood, O'bree, N Brown.
In: Anthony, Fraser, Medhurst, L Brown, Presti.
Wont happen as i cant see 5 changes happening to a side 7-2.

B: Nathan Brown, Simon Prestigiacomo, Ben Johnson
HB: Harry O’Brien, Nick Maxwell, Alan Toovey
C: Luke Ball, Dane Swan, Sharrod Wellingham
HF: Jaxson Barham, Travis Cloke, Alan Didak
F: Dayne Beams, Chris Dawes, Paul Medhurst
Foll: Darren Jolly, Scott Pendlebury, Dale Thomas
I/C: Heath Shaw, Ben Reid, Steele Sidebottom, Cameron Wood

OUT: Macaffer, Davis, O’Bree
IN: Prestigiacomo, Medhurst, Barham

Medhurst, Fraser, Presti, Anthony and Lockyer should all be considered this week.

Players in the gun are Macaffer, Wood and O'Bree.

Davis is an unknown and should be rested if carrying injury, however, he is the only real small forward we have so if he puts his hand up to play, he stays in the team.

Two goalless weeks in a row now for Dawesy. Pressure is now on. One more poor performance and Jack walks straight into his spot at his expense.
