I think he means back to NEAFL. If so l totally agree. Averages 7 disposals. 4 in the last 2 games. Not acceptable ATM.
It is more to do with midfield supply , in saying that no harm playing Burgess as HB in NEÀFL with McLennan and Graham and rank up good number in defence with ball coming in more often from opposition .

Aiya , compare sexton to Buddy . Buddy is getting nearly 950 soon . Sexy now is like 200?
sexton probably kicked 50-70 goals not 200, really just becam4 a regular goal kicker end of last year.

Winning streak over. Time to tweak the line up on performance.

Corbett in on his marking power alone. Will add so much structure sitting at full forward.

Aaron Young must come under strong consideration. Need to reward players with consistent big games in the NEAFL.

Similarly Scheer is also deserving of a shot in the seniors very soon - would add midfield depth.

FB: Harbrow - Collins - Ballard
HB: Joyce - Hombsch - Hanley
C: Murdoch - Fiorini - Horlin-Smith
HF: Sexton - Wright - Young
FF: Ainsworth - Corbett - Martin
RR: Witts - Swallow - Miller

Int: Brodie - Miles - Bowes - Macpherson

Ins: Miles - Young - Corbett
Out: Lukosius (Rested) - Burgess (Omitted) - Holman (Omitted)

Biggest issue for us from yesterday was turnovers. Need to work on DE%. Too many players less than 70% - Hanley, Touk, Dmac, Bowes, Murdoch, Sexton, Lukosius, Ainsworth, Collins, Fiorini and Wright.

EDIT: I'd also like to bring in Powell for GHS but won't happen. Need some stable, older bodies to help absorb contact and direct players on field.

Powell in for GHS - agree experienced heads are good but the kids need games this year, and they ain’t going to grow playing some plumber from Aspley.

Losing sucks but would rather lose a few more, and have a killer team in 2 years when we’re flag worthy than keep pissing around with the list.

Luko stays too - kid showed some grit last night and will be up there by the end of the year If we show some faith

100 % agree but GC playing Brisbane in NEAFL not Aspley .

Don’t get me wrong - was furious watching the game yesterday, but Dew’s presser reminded me what we’re here for, and I back the plan.

Short term pain for a long term gain
Is normal to be furious, we are not robot .

Both teams look to have pretty dangerous forward lines with backlines relatives unheralded
Will come down to the midfield battle.

As disappointing as the Crows game was, one positive I can take from the game was that 2MP looked like he was getting better as the match wore on. He ended the game with 3.3 and although he probably should have kicked 4-5 goals, it was a pretty good performance for a key forward that has been out of form this year. Moving onto the QClash - I believe it's time to switch Burgess for Corbett which will hopefully allow Pete more space to create one-on-one contests/leads due to the taller Brisbane defenders likely having their hands full with stopping Corbett. Hoping for a better performance from Sexton this week too as he was pretty quiet yesterday (by his standards). Brisbane won't have Harris Andrews for this match either and that's a big plus for our forward line.

We need more from Jack Martin and that's all I'll say in regards to him. Not sure I'd keep Brodie in the team if Miles is available but we can probably say goodbye to Will if we drop him this week as he probably won't get another chance until late in the season and by that stage it may be too late to convince him to stay. I'd like to bring Powell back into the team too because I think our mids looked a little slow yesterday. Will Touk be able to do a job on Neale? I think that's going to be a big factor in who wins the midfield battle because Neale has been exceptional for most of this season so far.

Up the other end of the ground we have a key match up in Cameron and Harbrow. I wrote this in the preseason but I want to reiterate that Charlie Cameron is very likely the best small forward in the game right now and Harbs will need to be at his best to consistently beat him. The tall combination of Hipwood (202cm) and McInerney (204cm) worries me a little bit but Collins and Hombsch seem to play well on guys that are taller than them. Plus they have the taller Ballard to help out which eases my mind a bit. Hanley and Joyce will also need to perform well to not allow Rayner or McCluggage space to hurt us.

We can get back on track with a win here over the Lions and make the Crows game look like an off week, not an indication of where we're heading as a footy club. Plus a spot in the top 8 awaits the winner of this QClash. We are undefeated at Metricon this year and it's time for us to show we are the dominant team in Queensland!

Hipwood tends to beat his opponent with pace rather than height and length so not super worried about him being taller.
Mcinerny contested marking deep in the 50 is a bit of a concern - wish we had Rory.
I'd put Hombsch on Hipwood and Collins on Mcinerny just because he seems a bit stronger in the contest.

Obviously Brisbane are a higher scoring team than us in general so have more goals. Can see though that there are a number of goal kickers on their list.
We are a bit more predictable. And don't know that we can rely on David Swallow going at a goal a game consistently.. Corbett coming in will hopefully give us a bit more firepower here.

Be prepared for Brisbane to change our personal and game style.

We’ve played tall, with a focus on contested footy so far this season.

Thinking we might be going a bit smaller, especially up forward, and bringing in some outside run.

Yes they want him in. He's in Melbourne for cognitive testing because it was his first real concussion but he should be right. Miles also.
In Melbourne for cognitive testing. Thats really interesting.
There must be a go to sports medicine / neuropsych type set up down there.
