Changes for R4 vs Sydney

Well what an average display it was from our tall forwards. I wonder is Hansen and Lynch have heard of a contested mark because I doubt either have taken one in the first three rounds.

Forward line is the problem for me so these are my changes

Out:

Hansen - Unable to take a contested mark and tackle
Lynch - Unable to take a contested mark and mark in general
Fletcher - Past it

In:

Kennedy
Spangher
McNamara

Dropping Lynch and Hansen would mean that Kennedy would play CHF and Hunter would play FF. Both can take pack marks and create more forward pressure. Spangher would play CHB. What do people think?

How about Chad Jones. Kicked 6 in the WAFL. Chuchk him at FF and put Lynch out to CHF.

There are plenty of people waiting in the wings who are capable of coming into the side and making an effort whilst those others aren't - Rosa is one of them, he had a pretty good 2007 and has only had one chance in 2008. He was obviously dropped for a reason but if Hansen, Embley, Fletcher, Nicoski etc keep getting chances why can't he have a second chance?

If we have debut after debut without giving 'experienced' fringe players another go, soon enough people will think we're doing a Carlton and have given up.

We need players coming into the side who can kick well to the forwards. Rosa at the moment will not improve that aspect of the team with his lollipop kicks. The point about Rosa is, even when he's not under pressure he still produces lollipop kicks. Priddis on the other hand will throw the ball on the boot when he's trying to win a clearance and about to be tackled but when he has time and space he can and has drilled good passes to the forwards.

Rosa still has time to make it as a regular in the team because as a full-time elite AFL footballer you would think that he would be able to sort out this most basic of problems.

Ah no. Hansen will take a mark on a lead but doesnt matter how good the kick is to him he wont take a contested mark.

He is in the team as a lead up forward. When he leads and the ball is kicked over his head or bounces before it gets to hime he can't do his job

Absolutely, and the quicker we see it the better.

Everyone has been going on about other teams like Geelong, Collingwood, etc playing only two talls and four smaller players in their forward lines and how quick it makes them look.

We have been far too tall down there to date and it needs to change as it is clearly not working.

I beleive our forward line would kick a lot more goals with LeCras and McKinley. Also chuck in Kennedy, He can actualy Contest on ground level and in packs.

We need someone to run with the ball from defense. Scott Selwood was one of the only players to do this yesterday.

thats pretty good however i reckon schofield will get the gig before mc.
