It's not like we can ask Yeo to go half paced in the WAFL or anything, he's a bull and a sex object.
All we can do is manage his loads...

There's no more chance cooking a bloke playing him in AFL as there is in WAFL. Its not like players automatically slow down or only run in straight lines when they are playing WAFL. I can remember Kerr rolling his ankle returning through WAFL and from memory that was all she wrote for him that season. The issue is whether the match committee think he has done enough to contribute to the team playing less minutes than whoever he is going to replace.
Agree completely.
Do the "worried we're rushing him back" crew think you can't get injured playing WAFL?
Perhaps the penny has dropped after all.
If Allen plays the majority of the game in defence whilst Naitanui is on the ground, then this becomes a very balanced squad.
Brander finally named in the backline, it will be interesting to see if that holds true during the match - I have long believed that a rebounding role from defence is the position he would be best suited towards, so I will be keeping an eye on in regard to this.
If both Allen and Brander are being used as defenders, then it frees up Nelson to go as a run-with player through the midfield - most likely to Parish (who since Round 3 has been averaging 33 disposals, 8 clearances and 8 score involvements per game).
When Parish has had 30+ disposals this year, Essendon are 4-1; with the lone loss being by 2 points to GWS away.
Conversely, when Parish has failed to get 30 disposals this year, Essendon are 0-5.
Shut Parish down and the midfield battle should fall our way, allowing the forwards opportunity to be decisive in determining the result. With a healthier array of ground level players, the team's forward half stoppage game will also be far more imposing, which will translate territory dominance into scoreboard impact.
If the weather does not intervene too significantly I would not be surprised if this ends up being the club's best four quarter performance of the season thus far.
sheed has always been an interesting one for me. He clearly has no pace. For him to counter that he needs to build his upper body and core strength makes it difficult for the opponent to tackle him. Clearly, he still needs to work on that part of his game and when he has space and the game is played on his term he is damaging but more often than not he reminds me of masten when he gets caught so many times.Sheed owes us a good game.

Probably the same people complaining we rushed Gov back unnecessarily, because he suffered a completely different injury.
To be fair, when you put yourself in the hole under that many high balls in defence, you can cop a few knocks.Dude Gov is a special case. He is our own version of Andy Murray. He either plays through injury every game or he is "Murray" fake injury every game as well.
Gov will always be injured or he will hold some part of his body at some stage in every game. He is frustrating to watch.
AhCheeChoo is overdue...to play a good game.
Herald Sun posting the biggest sliders in 2021 (as per Champion Data)
WEST COAST
Player, 2020 ranking points ave., 2021 ranking points ave. Change (%)
Liam Ryan 78.3, 54.7 -30%
Jackson Nelson 72.0, 53.1 -26%
Brad Sheppard 89.9, 70.5 -22%
He might be a high-flyer, but exciting forward Liam Ryan’s player ranking has been the largest fall in the Eagles line-up this year according to Champion Data. Ryan played the opening four games of the season before he was sidelined with a stress reaction in his shin before returning in Round 10 against GWS. He kicked 26 goals last season and has six so far in his five games in 2021. Jackson Nelson (down 26 per cent) and Brad Sheppard (down 22 per cent) also suffered ranking slides.
Sheppard was in red hot form in 2020 but back to the pack in 2021.
Jackson will be feeling the heat.
Ryan - not sure how injured he was so far. Hopefully last week was cobwebs
Why not next year too, just to be on the safe side.We should be playing Yeo in the 2s for the rest of the year just to be sure he's right to go, can't take any chances.
Ryan has only played 5 games this year so probably a bit early to be looking at averages.Herald Sun posting the biggest sliders in 2021 (as per Champion Data)

I'll be wanting Ah Chee to do something special this week. He popped up with his blue moon game vs the Hawks but since then he's been average. Had 5 clangers vs the Giants which was a team high, and didn't lay a single tackle. He also also went at 50%DE yet only had 37 metres gained
How many were with very limited supply?Ryan has only played 5 games this year so probably a bit early to be looking at averages.
Surprisingly he already has 27.
The stk game he looked sore/injured. And GWS he looked a little off.How many were with very limited supply?
He does work hard to help in defence when fit.
