Thats going into a game thinking way to defenisvely. Name another team that plays 3 taggers? That defensive mindset is what kills the team.

I hate how we play all 3

Carlton play Joseph as the small stopper, Carrazzo as the main tagger and Houlihan as the defensive forward.

Freo tag with Crowley, De Boer and Van Berlo across all 3 lines.

St Kilda tag with Jones, Geary and a mixture of Dempster and McQualter

Sydney tag with Kirk, Jack and a mixture of J Bolton and Criag Bird

There's 4 of the current finals teams.

Who does Stevenson have to **** to get a game for you guys?

Who would you appoint out of the current crop of assistants? Sumich would be just as bad as Worsfold, Metropolis is a muppet and Walsh or Broadbridge don't even deserve a second of thought

You appoint sumich as interim till end of season. Just to prove he is a useless ****wit. Who knows he may surprise us.

Isn't Stevenson injured? And Notte?

Out: Dazzle, McGinnity
In: Hams, Smith

Unfortunately not too much out there to pick from.

I think Smith will come in, being the emergency for 3 weeks in a row, his best game at WAFL level, Dalziel being injured and coming of an 80 point shalacken the axe will be swung.

Out Dalziel, Wilkes
In Smith Houlihan

Playing 2 ruckman, 3 tall backs in Schoey, E-mac and Wilkes and 3 tall forwards in Lynch, Kennedy and Mckinley is to much. Evantualy id like to see Notte take Lynch's spot, Brown take Wilkes and Cox just fall off the Porch when he's done and replaced with a runner, with Notte backing up the Ruck.

Get over his ankle injury for a start.

Out: McKinley, McGinnity, Dalziell (inj)

In: Smith, Stevens, Hurn?/Houlihan

Still too tall. McKinley's defensive pressure has improved but offensively he's offered bugger all lately apart from one or two junk time goals per game, so he's the one to miss out for mine.

Not sure there's too much more to come in, especially if Stevenson's injured. Hams is the other possibility.

(Edited to take out Dalziell)

Does Scott Burns even know what he is doing? Our midfield is diabolical and clearly the worst part of our team. I hope he is sacked at the end of the year because quite frankly he is terrible.
Remember Burns inherited this problem and he seems to be doing a great job getting clearances out of this midfield. Its just we do bugger all with them.

Hopefully Stevenson's ankle is OK, if do I'd like to see the following

Out: Dalziell (inj), Lynch (omit), Wilkes (omit), McGinnity (omit), McKinley (omit)
In: Houlihan, Smith, Stevenson, Stevens, Hams

If Stevenson is not McKinley stays.

Either way makes our speed and kicking skills look much better. Why we need 3 'strikers' up forward I don't know. If we use the ball better and play faster then we should see more mids kicking goals. With Cox and Nicnat moving through there and Hams and Stevens playing fwd I think we could kick more goals than we have been.

Just for those calling for McgInnity's ommission.

You do realise that he was one of the very few players who didn't lose his contest on the weekend.

So if you are choosing him because you think he is a kid with no future - fair enough, however if you are picking it on form - then think again.

Its gonna be raining cats and dogs so I expect Woosh to bring in some more KPPs to even up the team. Either that or he could do well the opposite

IN: Smith, Hams (wet weather gun), Stevens (in and under)
OUT: Lynch Dalziell Wilkes

I'm not too sure about winning his contest over the whole game. But he was caught many times and made a few errors.

I wasn't so bold as to say he won - i don't think any of our 22 won - however - he was one of the few that didn't lose.

As a defender he shut Davis out of the game. Clearly Davis isn't in form - but with that much ball coming in - he did well not to play him back into form.

Davis padded his stats in the 4th qtr when moved up the ground - but before then Mcginnity did a reasonable job on him.

If it's an absolute slog - it could work in our favour.

Hopefully it's one of those games where the best option is just to bomb it long at all costs - would reduce the cost of the kicking deficiencies we have at the minute.

We are doing well to win contested ball and clearances in a lot of games - so a wet slogfest could yield a win.

Your probably right, in that case im expecting unseasonable warmth and ice vests on by quarter time

If it's pissing down:

In: Neates (play him at the feet of the deep forwards, there will be a lot of spills and he is lightning)
Hams (similar, to apply defensive pressure and cause turnovers)
Smith (line-breaking pace and kick)

Out: Dalziell.
Mcginnity (too many negating types, he's the worst)
Wilkes (shit and we're too tall)

Would love to see Embley out, but it wont happen and, his blind snaps forward might be more effective in a slog and not as punished as on a dry day.

True, it helped us last year against the Hawks.
