Agree with you 100% Undertaker regarding Sandilands/Warnock/Gilmore. Warnock is a very handy forward too (his hands are much cleaner than Sandi's). 6PR said that Warnie's wing span is considerably bigger than Sandilands, and when they both stand on the ground with their arms up Warnie reaches a centimetre higher than Sandi.

Matt Carr has been better this year than last year. His skills were shocking on the weekend though. I'll be keeping an eye on him next time it's wet, if he struggles again he should be treated like the extra tall and dropped if it's slippery.

It says in the paper that Browne is one week away, is this true or is he expected to be out for longer?

That sounds right. They said 4 weeks when he did it in round 3. I think he'll have to work his way back through the WAFL though.

It's highly likely that Brissy are going to have three ruckmen playing in McDonald, Charman and Wood. Whilst I have no doubt that the big fella could run out the game, we're going to run him into the ground after a while.

IN: Warnock
OUT: Walker

Of course that fails to take into account our biggest problem; who gets the fantastic duty of stopping one J.Brown?

Parker needs to stay at Subi, easily the worst defender in the side since finals last year. I reckon they need to get Collard in as he seems like could be a quality replacement for Farmer for the rest of the year.

Brisbane are now a very pacey side, with a good blend of youth and experience.

I personally think we'd be mad to drop a quick small for a 205cm ruckman.

The hidings that the Eagles have dealt out over the last couple of seasons at the GaBBA were based on pace. Mathews is no dummy and has learnt from this and the current Brisbane side is much , much faster than the previous strong bullocking side.

i dont think any of this will matter if we cant stop jonathon brown. he reguarly singly handedly destroys fremantle when we play them. parker is the obvious candidate with grover as backup (altho i would hate to see it come to that). maybe mundy or johno can play loose down back and doulble team him. i cant see it being an issue if brissy have one loose in their backline because they just dont have the same quality down there (theyre thinking of playing merret or brennan on pav:eek: )

I got a question! Roger Hayden, last week was one of the first/only times he hasnt had a dangerous small forward to run with and look at how he performed, just wondering if CC was to bring Parker back, (or even Brock one day) into the team as a small defender would it suit Roger and Freo if he moved to a running half back flanker instead of leaving him in a pocket and sometimes wasting his speed and class???

Im not saying he is McLeod, but he sure looked as good on the weekend with no one to worry about!!!

Hayden was very good last week, but we need him to be accontable. Black and Mundy like to play loose in the backline, we need to get the mix right between defence and attack.

BUT, neither Black nore Mundy has got the speed that Hayden has. I really didnt think Hayden was more than a good small defender Freo needed, but his game on the weekend showed he has so much more to offer.

The moment that sticks with me is when he was going down to pick the ball up on the HBF and just over run it, with players coming from both directions he turned back ran though those players scooped the ball up run past another player and started a move forward, that was class and Jackovich made mention of that when he did it.
