Collard would've been handy today. We've got to get a small forward into the team - BTW Cook is not a small forward.

Is Browne even ready to go? He didn't play yesterday for Claremont. I reckon they'll bring him back in through the WAFL...

Drummie anyone? Or Thornton - he was one of the best for South Freo yesterday.

But please - no Shane Parker. He is good for at least 2 goals to the opposition every single week. :(

IN: Collard (should've been in this week), Walker
OUT: Parker, Cook - neither should have played this week

CC loves Parker and loves playing him against Dickson so can't see that change happening.

OUT: Solomon
Parker

IN: Campbell
Collard

How far off is Peake?

its set to be raining again

In: Collard
Out: Warnock
Warnock was one of our best today

Out:
Parker
Solomen
M Carr

In:
Cambell (we need the extra tall foward, 8 goals in the wafl he wants his spot
Collard (we need a crumbing foward with good defensive skills
Thorton/Hadrill(both in the best for their wafl clubs, my first pick to play would be thorton because we need the run of the half back line, but Hadrill would give franklin a lesson in afl footy he wont forget and would allow Mc Pharlen to play a loose man in defence or take the 2nd foward)

He was, but we don't want to play in the rain with two 7 footers.

That was Thornton's first league game, he needs atleast one, probably two more weeks at the bulldogs to build his match fitness. I reckon he is the best match up on our list for Franklin though.

I fail to see why Walker was dropped anyway, as for Parker if they keep playing him the opposition will have an extra player it's time for him to give it away. Theoretically Solomon should get the chop but I'll be surprised if he does they'll no doubt gas poor old Cook instead as for introducing Collard I reckon they'll give him at least another week in the WAFL. Overall it's not looking good with the Hawks on a high and Freo recovering from the travel, heat and sizeable loss.

I find that an interesting comment from you... I would have thought that Grandson would be a player you would despise for being physically and mentally weak.

Serious questions: Do you think he should have played against Brisbane, and if so, why? Do you think he should be recalled for round 7?

Consensus around here was that Dodd was BOG against the crows.

One good game for the year against Adelaide isnt a great season. If you dont like my posts that is your problem dom not mine. I am entitled to my opinion whether you like it or not and at the moment if CC reckons he is going to wield the axe then Dodd is in group of players that may go especially if CC is looking at thornton and haddrill to come into the side. Everyone fit on the ground Dodd would not be in the 22.

You miss read me IP, I dont see him as being mentally or physically weak and have never referred to him as such. Yes I do think he should have played against Brisbane if for no other reason than he provides pace which is sadly lacking in the side. Additionally and by way of comparison he makes less errors than Haydn and for that matter Parker. I do think he should be recalled for round 7 and think he will be. Having said all of that I dont think he would get in the best 25 at WCE (hint hint), have you given any more thought to that little exercise yet??

No, I didn't say that you did actually say that, I just guessed that that might be your opinion... But I was obviously wrong... Would you pick him with a full squad to choose from (ie Schammer, Peake, Farmer, Thornton, Haddrill, Dunn, Browne all available?).

And no I have yet to complete the little exercise... I get the shivers each time I think about it... :(

Good question, you've named some there who, amongst other things, will struggle to get a regular game for the remainder of this year and a couple that I'm not overly taken with so on that basis, yes. For what it's worth and I'm not trying to influence you in anyway, in my opinion only one of those you named would get into the WCE best 25.

He almost certainly would be in the 22. And besides, we are a long way from having everyone fit.

You want to play the young guys, but you want to drop Dodd after one bad game. It's idiotic.

If Dodd has another couple of poor games I'd be happy to see him dropped for Scottie if Thornton is tearing it up in the wafl, but Thornton and Haddrill need atleast one more wafl game.

Thornton, Haddrill, Collard and Campbell would have made little to no difference yesterday. Our backline and forward line weren't the problem.

Quite often footballers are like horses when they come back from a spell, they are all fired up for their first game back but pull up sore and struggle second up. Heath Black's customary sublime skills were shocking in his first game for the season after just one wafl game because he didn't have the fitness for afl footy.

At no stage have I written that you are not entitled to your opinion. But when you write what I consider nonsense I am entitled to reply. If you don't like people disagreeing with your posts maybe you should put more thought into them before hitting Submit Reply.
