Anyways, who gives a heck...we're looking to get smashed over the next fortnight, footy dept will hopefully be under a review and 2013 will test the coaching dept's value in $$$ vs results

Count me in that....I honestly missed Carlisle's injury after switching off at half time but your Hooker comment threw me off, champ

You deny that?

Sheesh I was being sarcastic because you said "hooker to come in and get smashed by jack" I assumed you thought he didnt play.

Like those changes - But will Myers come straight back in after missing 5/6 - If not play Kavanagh.

One of the old blokes at work has been spruiking Nick O'Brien all season...wouldn't mind a look at him now. Carlisle doesn't deserve to be dropped, especially given that Fletcher will be out injured.

Hooker is likely to come in and get smashed by Jack ..think Pears would be the ideal candidate as much as it pains me to contemplate our next fortnight with Fletcher's absence.

So much wrong in this post.

FWIW Pears is Jack Reiwoldts bunny, has reguarly been towelled up by him.

Out: Fletch, Carlisle
In: Gumby, Pears

I like Hurley up forward, but we really need to plan our team post-Fletcher, so it's time to shift Hurley to defence. He'll inspire the others guys down there, and right now they really need some inspiration. He'd be the general we need down back.

Up forward we have Crameri, Gumby and Ryder; and in a couple of years we'll have Joe, so that's enough talls. Hurley is wasted in the forward line anyway at the moment considering the delivery they're getting.

Didn't Hird say that defence was a priority when he came to the club? It didn't seem that way yesterday.

I would love to see guys like Kavanagh, O'Brien, Merrett, Ross possibly get a game (1-2 of them). We aren't playing a team full of hulking bodies and it would be good to give them a bit of exposure to AFL. Our season is well and truly cooked anyway and its doubtful they would do any worse than the guys we have currently in there.

To be honest I've been hoping for Hurley back for a while. Its clear we need his kicking skills and competitive spirit down back. He will also be able to generate rebound as well. Gumbleton and Pears will both come in (assuming Gumbleton is fit).

watched the VFL - colyer clearly best and should never have been dropped ahead of soft duo monfries and melksham. o'brien put in a pleasing display and should get a debut match.

In: Pears, Colyer, O'Brien, Reimers
Out: Fletcher, Carlisle, Melksham, Monfries

I couldn't beleive how well Colyer was kicking. It's obviously confidence that makes his disposal Terrible at AFL.

OBrien also pretty impressive

I like Ross but he was shocking yesterday and Slattery's papers are stamped.

Anyhow I wouldnt be bringing back any more underdone players - so no Myers or Reimers
(who started well but couldnt run out the game).

Pears will be back for buckets or fletch who won't play again this year. Colyer also should come in to replace the blokes who can't run out games.

It's his technique which makes his kicking so poor. Has been this way ever since he was a junior. One decent game in the VFL (skill wise) doesn't change anything.

No point bringing back Myers. He won't be right, let him start his PS early. Ditto Gumby. Have another look at Pears, Reiners, Ross etc. Use these 2 rounds to make a final call on them.

Out - Fletch, Carlilse, Melksham, Monfries
In - Pears, Gumby, Reimers, Colyer
You could even leave Gumby out again and throw kav in, Throw Ryder forward with Hardingham and put Hurley on Jack????
Any thoughts?

I didn't analyse his technique but it certainly seemed like he was doing something different yesterday. Maybe it was just a heavier ball so it fell better from his drop.
