Anyone who takes the soft option in these threads and uses slashes needs to grow a pair and be decisive.

I don't usually post on here, but I read it, and I agree. It's a bit like footy tipping where posters should be proposing what they think is going to be the outcome and why.

This week I think the winner will be Freo/Richmond.

OUT;
Murphy - HACK
Mundy - LAZY HACK
Hayden - INJURED
Hinkley - CAN't KICK
DeBoer - Doesn't get enough of the footy for mine, poor disposal

IN;
Campbell
Clarke
Walters
Foster
Broughton

But MUNDY must definiteley go - last 2 games have been deplorable...a very lazy footballer

I am glad you are not on the selection pannel.

De Boer-May not get much of it but when Hill failed on Wells last week DeBoer was put on him and we didnt hear much after that. I see DeBoer as our Number 1 Tagger at this point.

Mundy-May not be playing as well as he was earlier in the season but you want to replace a talented Midfielder/Backman that can be used in a key position with a Rookie who is much shorter and not as versatile? No thanks!

Hinkley- May have not had a great game last week but he is getting better. If you want to have a go at someone about their kicking. Try having a go at Headland who would kick it as low and flat as he could without looking. The turnover King! Not good enough for a Number 1 Draft Pick.

Changes.

IN- Ballentine
Broughton
Clarke
Out-Murphy
Hayden
Thornton

If they think Ballentine is ready, then he should be a definate inclusion.

In- Broughton and Bradley/Ballentyne
Out- Murphy and Hayden

I agree, Mundy is a very average player. I almost bought champagne last year when it was rumoured he was leaving. Not exactly a hard tackling, 'gut-runner'. He looks so damn casual when he plays and I tend to hold my breath when he has the ball (just waiting for him to kick it to the opposition). He 'occasionally' does some good things but to be honest, I'm sure he's replaceable.

DeBoer may not have a good disposal - haven't seen him get much of the ball actually. I think he's filling Crowley's role as a tagger ... and doing quite well IMO.

Murphy to be traded to W.Bulldogs next year. I heard they need a tall forward. ;)

Gold. What comedy club can i see you at?

C'mon Bridesmaid. I'd rate Mundy as having greater natural ability than Michael Johnson, yet Johnson pretty much matches him for stats. Mundy just doesn't work as hard as he should.

Fair enough with DeBoer - but at some stage he needs to amass more than 5 possesions without those crappy kicks of his.

You won't change my mind on Mundy - has very poor attitude, refuses to chase...check out his tackles for last week....ZERO. Won't tackle. Very poor for a so-called leader due to his experience. A week in Wafl certainly will help.

Thornton dropped? What has he done wrong in last month?

Hinkley?...He can't kick mate, so why wouldn't you bring in Walters who has a great kick or Pearce or anyone who can hit a target

Mundy must be on one of his last chances, seems to go missing allot in games and as said rarely tackles.

Though probably in the same boat as Murphy, club put in the hard yards to keep him and will give opportunities above and beyond most other players.

Hinkley deserves to be carried another few weeks, if he is still struggling by the break back to the WAFL.

Thornton continues to turn it over and has to go, Hayden is out.

Murphy has his golden pass and will continue to play.

Its Bradesmaen. Get it wrong again and I won't have trouble reporting it.

Also, he doesnt look like he works hard due to his laconic nature, its the way he plays. I was also laughing at the fact that he says he kicks it straight to the opposition.

Sabre - you're quick to jump. What a freo fan you are, after two bad games all of the sudden players aren't working hard and are ready to be axed  Of course as always it is Mundy the first on the chopping block. Hardly surprising given the reaming he gets around here from specific posters who have no clue about Football whatsoever.

I've maintained all along Mundy's weakness has been his tackling, however the upside to his play has mean't he deserves a spot.

That said, his kicking hasn't been damaging for some time now..Suddenly the lack of any tackling ability starts to hit you in the face.

However, I'm not calling for him to be dropped...Yet

That's the biggest problem with Mundy, perception. As he looks lethargic people think he's either a lazy footballer, or making it look easy. After two bad games in a row, it's back to him being a lazy footballer. Then again, he has been a lazy footballer the last two weeks, so perception or not it's hard not to be critical.

Personally I'd back him to turn it around this week, Harvey probably will as well. A few more games like last week and hopefully a youngster in the WAFL will be able to step up.

One other thing, the whole never/rarely tackles thing is a myth. Mundy's in our top 10 tpg this season (3.6) and IIRC finished in our top 5 last year.

Hasn't been damaging? Have you even watched a game? If his kicking hasn't been damaging then Matthew Pavlich hasn't been damaging.

His tackling is fine, he can lay a good tackle - because he doesn't get a tackle, how does that make his tackling weak? Its more to do with the oppositions style of play than Mundy himself. He goes in a pressures the opposition, but you can't tackle a guy who's already got rid of the ball. Also - tackles don't count on the stats unless you dispossess them or bring it to a stoppage, so if someone can get away a quick handball while being tackled - it won't count.

No chance that Mundy will be dropped. Has been a bit quiet the last couple of weeks has been good in several games. Is it true that Balla's match simulation workout was done on computer? In Clarke, Walters, Foster. Out Hayden, Murphy, and .........hmmmm Solomon or Thornton.

Apologies everyone.

Frodo it is! Looking forward to seeing him use his massive feet to kick many goals for us in Future. Go Freo!:D

I'd like Clarke to come in as much as the next person, but I don't think he'll get named as all our debutants so far this year have had articles etc written about them the Wednesday before (think DeBoer and Pratt). If anything I think Ballantyne will debut.

This is what I think will happen, not what I want.

IN: Ballantyne, Bradley
OUT: Hayden, Murphy
