Out: Roger Hayden, Ryan Murphy.

In: Greg Broughton, Adam Campbell.

Ballantyne needs a week in the WAFL. Mark Harvey said that he did well in all of the match simulation drills, but they are just that. Simulation. Tell him to get out there and get a few kicks for Peel, get the ball in his hands and cover as much ground as possible. If he goes alright, then have a look at him for next week.
Ironically, that's what your loverboy Campbell, has not done.

Hasn't been damaging? Have you even watched a game? If his kicking hasn't been damaging then Matthew Pavlich hasn't been damaging.

His tackling is fine, he can lay a good tackle - because he doesn't get a tackle, how does that make his tackling weak? Its more to do with the oppositions style of play than Mundy himself. He goes in a pressures the opposition, but you can't tackle a guy who's already got rid of the ball. Also - tackles don't count on the stats unless you dispossess them or bring it to a stoppage, so if someone can get away a quick handball while being tackled - it won't count.

Tackling is fine? Have you even watched a game??

The guy is the worst tackler on our list, his tackles are constantly broken (Far more than anyone else). Its almost a given that if he is first on the scene that the opposition player will get around him.

I've watched his defensive pressure closely and it leaves allot to be desired.

Oh god, here we go. You have no clue whatsoever. If he is the worst tackler on the list, then how is it that he is fourth in tackles on our list? Please explain that one Sherlock.

God, you think as a freo fan you'd watch us for once.

*Sigh*
Mate your posting style is as bad as GJ, you threatened to report gravy for making fun of your name and here you are being a abusive little upstart.

I've stood up for Mundy since he started and have watched him very carefully. His tackling has been weak as has his defensive pressure for the majority of his career. I am however a big fan of his

Not sure why he is second on the tackle count, probably has something to do with being on the ball more, getting to contests behind his opponent etc.
Does the tackle stat count for all tacklets (Broken ones included?)

I'd like Clarke to come in as much as the next person, but I don't think he'll get named as all our debutants so far this year have had articles etc written about them the Wednesday before (think DeBoer and Pratt). If anything I think Ballantyne will debut.

This is what I think will happen, not what I want.

IN: Ballantyne, Bradley
OUT: Hayden, Murphy

Channel 7 just reported Hinkely and Murphy as omitted, so maybe enough is enough?

Head back in, is annoying though.

Broughton deserves another run, will make allot of DT's very happy.

The slower you are, the easier it is to stick a tackle.

You're more likely to have your feet planted, which is the secret.

The best tacklers will lay tackles in open play, and I'm here with you Sabre in that regard, Mundy has tackles broken left right and centre there. 99% of his tackles come in stoppages. He also watches players get the ball, and then tackles them. Have a look next time. He knows he can't/ doesn't want to win the ball, so he sets up for a tackle instead. Embarrassing.

No. It counts stuck tackles that dispossess/cause a stoppage.

Mundy has more than Hasleby and Ibbotson, Averaging more a game than Duffield and Crowley when he wasn't injured.

Explain.

I'm like the anti-nostradamus :D

You would think so, given the outs, but bringing Head back in erases all the good work done by getting rid of Murphy and giving Hinkley some WAFL time.

Totally agree that Broughton deserves another game, i felt that it was quite harsh that he was dropped last week.

I agree, Mundy is a very average player. I almost bought champagne last year when it was rumoured he was leaving. Not exactly a hard tackling, 'gut-runner'. He looks so damn casual when he plays and I tend to hold my breath when he has the ball (just waiting for him to kick it to the opposition). He 'occasionally' does some good things but to be honest, I'm sure he's replaceable.

Mundy is sitting 4th in tackles. He's only had one stand-out game (Derby?), but he has been quietly going about his business.

Explain? Chop's has done as good a job as I have seen so here it is (If you missed it)

What planet are you on?

When Mundy lays a tackle, it sticks. Very good at the chicken Wing.

Think there was a stat on the couch which showed who's tackles resulted in holding the ball. Mundy was top 10 in the league, that was a couple of weeks ago.

But his tackles are rarely broken, just needs to do it more.

I won't dispute Mundy is a good tackler. He's one of my favourite players and I've stood up for him here when the chips were down but every now and then he makes me scream FFS Mundy for once do the hard thing. There was a 50/50 ball in our forward line toward the end of the game last week when were a goal behind and you just know Solomon or DeBoer or Schammer would have charged at the contest like their life depended on it and put their body on the line, Mundy went but not hard, turned his body lost the contest. I mean I can only see the TV angle, maybe it made it look worse than it was. Maybe it was a match winning ball get maybe not but you just know he's never going to do the really really hard things. I don't think anyone that plays AFL is soft. Doesn't mean he's not a very good player, just that he will never be a truly great player.

I'm curious Bradesmaen, did you actually go to the game last night? If so, did you so happen to notice any errors by Mundy?

Again, I'll admit that Mundy did some pretty good things, like a specky mark, for example ... but I still think he needs to improve his kicking.

I was out last night, the TV had it on, but I wasn't paying much attention to it.

LOL ... So you'd know much more than those of us who go to every single game. :)
Huh? I didn't watch last nights game - first I haven't watched in ages because I was out at a friends house and instead of being a total w***er, I decided to make conversation instead of sitting infront of the TV staring blankly.

Apologies, I just realised you're location is in Adelaide.
