Yeah, but that could include going to a player, but the pass is a hospital pass and then the player gets drilled and then holding the ball, couldn't it? Still efficient?

Why would you drop these players? Cockie has shown glimpses, just doesn't get the ball enough. He's only played a handful of games. We have to keep playing this guy.

Ebert was poor, but I think he's got some talent. Just got to play him. No point in sending a "well give you a game but if you're crap you're out again" message.

Davis: not up to AFL
Swift + Naita: not ready and no rush.
Stenglein: will be at the expense of giving a kid a game who may be a long term player.

i have to agree with that. Although one of his handpasses did set up and easy goal in the first quarter i think it was.

Not having a midfield coach for 6 years is starting to show with basically no-one developing in that position.

you're serious aren't you? I am getting so frustrated with comments like this. He is a young developing forward who has kicked four goals in each of the games over the last fortnight and was our leading goal kicker last year. Who do you suggest we bring in as an alternative?? We are putting effort into him because he could potentially be our future.

Personally I don't have a problem with him being a bit selfish at times - most of the best forwards are. Don't misquote me either - im not saying that he is one of the best forwards yet but he is OUR forward and i think he deserves more respect from WCE fans than he is getting at the moment.

further more - how is a forward supposed to operate when they are being delivered the pill in such a way as he is? NONE of our forwards, bar Le Cras in the first weeks of the season, has done particularly spectacularly.

Our problem is our MIDFIELD.... NOT BEN McKINLEY.

I agree. The amount of times the ball goes up high into the forward line.....almost 100% of the time. Gives the forwards very little chance.

Dont kid yourself, if given major roles our young players will fill them. Ebert is clean in his disposal and composed, something Davis has totally failed to do at AFL level, to dump Ebert would be a complete joke.

Our Kids like Ebert, Masten, S.Selwood where all given small roles; stupid because the more they where involved the better we looked because they run, creates space and where generally better uses of the ball.

Kerr, Priddis, Rosa and Butler. All had lower disposal efficency, not one above 60%. Butler and Rosa where usless, they where given allot of time on ball and showed nothing and deserve to be dropped, Ebert turned nothing into Gold and these muppets where legless.

Fact is Masten, Ebert, S.Selwood and Cockie can all hold there heads up high because they outperformed there more seasoned team mates.

That handpass from Cockie was a brilliant option he took that resulted in a

goal.

I think its to early to be hanging him yet done well to crawl off the

rookie list and get a senior game
