What about bringing Murphy in? Kicked another 5 goals today for souths... looks like he is back in form, campbell may have gotten himself out of form.

We'll almost definately bring in another tall to stretch the tigers. I'd go with Warnie, but they'll probably pick Campbell.

Have they given Warnock a stint in the forward line when he's resting? If he could double as the third tall then he becomes mighty useful, and it sounds like he has the skills to do that. A player of his size is going to need a tall defender anyway, and should be able to stretch backlines who are already trying to negate the Twosome. Mind you Johnson is doing fine as the ruck pinchhitter/follower.

Warnie's had a couple of short stints but I'd like to see him spend a quarter in the goal square the next time he's picked. I'll be surprised if we don't bring in another tall considering Richmonds lack of height. If Solomon was at Richmond he'd probably be their number one defender, we have the luxury of playing him as a medium forward.

Crowley (susp) Warnock to get his 1st game at home.

Cant see any reason for another change just for change sake.

Mabey Cook/Collard.
We will need Webster to fill in for Crowley.

Even though we lost last Friday there is a consensus we played well.

I'm with you Dom, IMO not playing Warnie & bad kicking for goal cost us the game last week, Sandi cannot do it on his own, when he got tired the Pies got on top and we lost the clearances. No other club goes into a game with only one ruckman we have done so all year and the results speak for themselves.:(

We have gone the whole season with only one ruckman.... Pattison and he he probably our 3rd choice ruckman.

Last week we had 22 Hit Out's as a team, Pattison had 11 of them with 0% to advantage! We don't really have a ruck and out midfielders just go up for the tap.

Will be the only one avaliable again this week, so you really don't need a back-up for Sandilands, as anyone of your talls could cover for him if he needs a rest.

Sandilands will dominate this week, but will just depend if he can find a team mate and hit them to advantage.

We'll either bring in a second ruckman (Robbie Warnock who is 206cm) to really expose Pattison and rotate him and Sandilands through the goalsquare to stretch your backline or select a third key forward (Adam Campbell) and play Michael Johnson for 4 lots of 5 minutes in the ruck.

Out: Crowley, Webster
In: Murphy(he is a proven AFL player thats what he had got over Cambell and he is in fairly decent form), Warnock(good form and richmond have shit ruckmen)
Very Close: Cambell, Shammer

You dont bring in 2 talls for 2 running midsize players.

IN: Murphy(needs to be rewarded for good WAFL form) Collard(deserves a 2nd chance)
OUT: Crowley(susp) Webster(just dont think he is up to it)

Give Cookie another week cos i reckon he will smash some Tiges!!!!

Oh and CC play Murphy as the FF all game give him a chance he does not need to go down back, run Pav CHF and Tarrant to roam around the forward half.

Campbell played better than Murphy yesterday, and his form this season has been far superior. One of Campbell, Warnock or Murphy will play on Sunday and I'll be extremely surprised if it's Murphy.

I wouldnt be surprised if it was Murphy. Got himself back into a little bit of form. Kicked 8 and 5 in his last 2 outings. Has some form but so does Campbell at WAFL level, was pretty good on the weekend. I would love to see an in form Murphy come in and play out of the goal square freeing up Pavlich and Tarrant to do their thing across half forward. Give Collard another crack, get front and centre under Pavlich/Murphy/Tarrant.

Wouldnt mind seeing young Foster promoted and given a go this week. Nothing against Richmond but it may be the perfect game to debut him, he cant keep getting best on ground every week for east freo without getting rewarded.

Yeh but the thing is with Murphy once he's in reasonable form he will maintain it at AFL level and is a consistent 2-3 goal a game player and he is the better option for the rest of the season. Cambell however has been realy good i must say but he is still very inexperienced and not consistent enough for my likeing, In saying that though i think he will be a regular on the side next year.

We probably only have 2 more chances to play Collard, because it is unlikely he'll play once Farmer and Schammer return. I'd be happy to see him selected this week and/or next week, but don't think he will be.

I don't have a problem with Murphy, infact I prefer him to Campbell. But Kiwi has shown more this year, and it would be inappropriate for the match committee to select Murphy after one good game from about a dozen when Campbell has only had a couple of quiet games at either level this year.

2 good games he kicked 8 the last game he played

I think Murphy suits the Pavlich/Tarrant combo better than Campbell. We have, IMO, a genuine full forward(murphy) who has been out of form but has kicked 13 goals in his last two games for south freo.

The 8 was the (very) good game. By all accounts he was crap yeterday for three quarters before coming to life in the last ten minutes and kicking 3 or 4 goals. The Wiz getting ironed out by his direct opponent seemed to wake him up.

Murphy last year was great and I was happy with only the handful of possessions he would get as he would usually slot through 2 or 3 goals. Not sure if he fits in as well with Tarrant there. Campbell has created a few goals by busting packs etc this year.

I've had enough of the defensive forwards idea. Call me old fashioned but I like my forwards to be dangerous around the goals. Collard looked sharp but a bit overawed in his first game, lets get some game time into him before the Wiz returns.

Cook out unfortunately (Webster and Solly can do the job as well).
Collard in.
Crowley out
Campbell in

I can't comment about the first bag he kicked except to say that is a lot of goals, but he was far from consistent against the Sharks. He did step up, but he came from the shadows of an ordinary game prior to that.

Pavlich and Tarrant are already free to do that. In fact, it's what they do! Against the Tigers, and assuming Polak does actually play on Pavlich, Pavlich should have the freedom to go to the goal square whenever he wants to make Polak and Wallet really nervous.

Yeh but the thing is with Murphy once he's in reasonable form he will maintain it at AFL level and is a consistent 2-3 goal a game player .

So far he has been consistenly inconsistent. And 60 goals a year at AFL level would put him in the top grade forward category, which he is significantly short of at this stage. I think the reality is that either Campbell or Murphy are dangerous decoys to The Pav and Taz Show. Neglect them, and they will hurt you. But they are not going to be fed enough ball to kick 2-3 goals a game. The perfect type of player to do that as a support act to The Show, is Farmer.
