Get Bell out of the lineup ASAP, the amount of times he turned it over today....words can't even describe how frustrating it was. Need some zip around the packs (Davey) and some experience in that backline (Wheels, Riv). Then we will be set for the annual Queens Birthday massacre.

Miller is like a thumb in the hole in the dam, he's not the long term solution

Bell needs to go back to the seconds for a while. We need more out of Jones - he's got more to give but we are not getting it yet. Try Rivers, Garland and Wheatley up forward at various stages and see how we go.

Miller won't be dropped, we have too little forward options as it is without dropping our only experienced KP forward, regardless of how badly he plays. Bailey as good called the stonemason on Newton playing this week because of Robbo being out in the post-game press conference yesterday.

Frawley has been alright but could use a run in the 2's until Garland or Warnock slip up, we can't fit those 3 plus rivers in our side. I think everyone has Bell out, it tolls for you son. Despite our troubles, I can't find a spot for Wheatley. Yze kicked 3 goals, but 2 were well into rubbish time in the last qrt, not enough.

Give Maric a baptism on our biggest stage of the year, if he doesn't do anything put him back in the box for the rest of the year or until late at least, one poor senior game wont hurt him and we only stand to gain from it, barring injury.

Firstly, we are screwed.

If Rivers is available Frawley makes way, Holland in for Robbo, if McLean is injured bring in Morton (just ahead of Valenti), put Davey back in for Dunn and get Whelan in at the expense of Buckley.

- give garland a run up forward to make way for rivers- can switch if not
working out.

- rivers to cloke, maybe see how chip goes as the third man up against
rocca and cloke (i think rivers does this very well but its about time he
played as our key defender on the opposition's best forward)
- silvia to be the drive off half back rather than half forward- strong
enough to run and break the lines and skillful enough by foot to set up a
viable attack

Danger game for us, we have been fantastic the last 2 week's but you can't keep that up all season.

Plus the bloody Queen's Birthday curse, always ruins a good long weekend for us maggies.

Just reading that article "Demons In Tatters" on the Herald Sun website where Bailey names Newton, Miller, Bate, P.Johnson and Sylvia as the "nucleus" just gives me an idea as to what I think our forward line could be.

Half Forwards: Matthew Bate Brad Miller Brad Green
Full Forwards: Aaron Davey Michael Newton Austin Wonnaeamirri

Yze, Holland and Paul Johnson can switch in and out of that forward line but I think that's more of a forward line for the future whereas Holland and Yze will not be around much longer and Paul Johnson will be our main ruckman.

Looking at it on paper, it's not pretty solid looking forward line. However we all know that just because they are all capable of making an impact doesn't mean they will but if they get themselves right they could be kicking us winning scores in the future.

*EDIT* Forgot about Addam Maric, throw him in anywhere in there apparently he doesn't miss anyway.
