No-one seems to have mentioned that he says the top ups had booster shots yesterday. I thought the general recommendation was to avoid strenuous exercise for a few days after vaccination? Not to mention impact on performance while they're recovering.

It still amuses me that in this COVID-ravaged team, Darling and Kelly are fit to play.
Yikes, imagine having your booster then doing the captains run and playing AFL footy a day or so later.
My 2nd jab absolutely floored me for a good 36 hours.
It is the McGowan Government's rules of close contact isolation. Nothing to do with the AFL.When was the last time the AFL did us a favour?
Didnt even notice my 2nd or booster.

I seem to recall our teams being unable to train as a group in the offseason last year because Melbourne teams couldn't. Wild now that they're OK for state dependent rules to create an unequal competition in season...It is the McGowan Government's rules of close contact isolation. Nothing to do with the AFL.
That's not the argument we're having, it's about how state rules (Victoria's) caused the VAFL to stop us training over here despite being covid free at the time and it being allowed under our rules, but when it's us being affected you hear crickets from them.It is the McGowan Government's rules of close contact isolation. Nothing to do with the AFL.
The AFL has a fleet of private jets standing by and will fly over top up players as required to keep the round alive! I saw this on the news, or on this thread or in my dreams?Just saw the final teams and how this thread has exploded. A few questions:
1. How the fu** does Ainsworth get a game? Does he have a sponsor yet and if not can I do it? I will be the worst damn sponsor ever seen.![]()
2. Did we fly half of WA over for the game just in case. The way this is looking the Eagles could have more potential players at the game than Norf have spectators.
That's the exact reason why I just posted a thread about it on the main board. Can't have these pricks over there thinking for one second to lay the boots into a club that's right now buried 6 feet under with covid and injuries. If they claim this as some miracle win for the Kangas and hide what's really happening under the radar it gives them fuel for the season to slam us later on. Not a chance should we let them have that chance after all the players we have out with covid and injury. Won't let them have that satisfaction the dirty pricks in the media. Need to make as much noise about how much of a joke this is and the fact we are even playing shows just what a farce its become. F U to the AFL and these unprofessional bais Vic scum media. In before AFL360s deep expert analysis of the Eagles game is:
- best win for the Roos since their 1999 premiership. Against a more Credentialed opponent with more premiership players among them.
- West Coasts stars just aren’t hungry enough, they had the same number of players out there.
- Willie Rioli wasn’t going hard enough, too many of West Coast’s stars not attacking the ball or man hard enough. Just didn’t want it.
- great to see Aaron Black
making it back to the top level. reward for perseverance.PLAYERCARDSTARTMultiple players found. Use birthday to differentiate. eg [PLAYERCARD="23/11/1962"]Joe Smith[/PLAYERCARD]PLAYERCARDEND
With this kind of expectation, particularly from journalists, lock us in for premiership no. [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]

No way this game gets cancelled, the AFL will bring in a last minute super special one time only exemption to let us use the Victorian team's top up players before they cancel the game. The AFL has a fleet of private jets standing by and will fly over top up players as required to keep the round alive! I saw this on the news, or on this thread or in my dreams?

Not sure that was necessary nor political bias. But fine....That's not the argument we're having, it's about how state rules (Victoria's) caused the VAFL to stop us training over here despite being covid free at the time and it being allowed under our rules, but when it's us being affected you hear crickets from them.
It's nothing to do with McGowan, it's about the hypocrisy of a Victorian biased "national" league.
So fu** off back to Fremantle with your political agenda
Yeah, bringing up McGowan is in no way politicalNot sure that was necessary nor political bias. But fine....
Don't think so by the way The West put it, said he's "extra assurance" on top of the 26-man squad.Does this mean there's another out?
What we should start doing is releasing details of infected players one by one every couple of hours. See how many private jets they’ve got on handThe AFL has a fleet of private jets standing by and will fly over top up players as required to keep the round alive! If that is true it’s an absolute joke! Why would they do that? There is very likely someone that will wake up sick today then.Ooooft that's gonna be a struggle. At least they won't bump with sore arms, but if that's true there's going to be some lethargic boys out there.
