if we're too critical of masten's shit performances then that's masten's fault for being so shit

I saw a real bummer that is, well hopefully another piss poor performance sees him out fingers crossed.

Yeah get stuffed. Hopefully he has a ripper and so do his 21 teammates.

Mayb it'd be better to say "I just want Masten out of the team, he's too inconsistent and is stunting our development by clogging up a position"?

I want all our players to play their best footy all the time, but it's just not realistic to expect that.

Or hopefully a good performance that helps us win? Why do supporters go into games hoping individuals will play poorly?

Because we don't like the mediocre we want to move on from it. Blind faith gets us nowhere. But we won so only injury should be a reason for change this week.

Long time lurker, first time poster

I think the time has come to play Brad Sheppard on the 3rd tall forward permanently. That is his best role. Having Schofield and Barass does not let him play his best role. Im hoping we finally settle on the defense we named this week and keep the structure the same. It is when we play our best football
Couldn’t agree more. He’s so good at spoiling for his size. Plays tall far better than he does small. Puts us out of wack when we play three talls

Also, right now Shuey is our most important player. He's not perfect but if he's not playing we get smashed in the middle. We need Redden, Sheed, Duggan, Yeo, Achee, Venebles to really step up in the middle this year because if Shuey gets injured then we are probably not a chance against any team.

Wanted to call myself out on this - Redden and Yeo (and to an extent Duggan & Achee) really stood up in the GWS game and with no Naitanui, Shuey or Sheed I thought we'd be toast but we at least broke even in the center. Decent performances from Gaff, Ainsworth and Masten too. We're gelling as a team, as GO_EAGLES would say, our midfield has some glue and swervability and players have a passion for the contest and good awareness of one another. We keep this up and we're a threat to any opposition this year.
