I don't get this feeling at all. Believe he's gonna play most games this year.

Venables can't get dropped. Would have played a half dozen games if he'd stayed fit last year. Not going to get dropped off one game this year.

Venables won't be dropped. Last year Mutimer got 4 games in a row despite only getting just over 10 touches a game.

All three debutants will keep their spots, IMO. We need to get as much senior footy into Venables as possible without potentially wearing him down and I feel like Simmo would be thinking the same. Simmo showed trust in him by starting him at the opening centre bounce.

Schofield, Masten and Nelson could all potentially come out. But I think it could just be possibly the two changes.

If Cole needs more time then could we debut Watson? If not Nelson Out, Hutchings In and put him on JJ again just for the lol’s. Originally I was going to go Schofield out but then I thought we can throw Gov forward if we need to. They don’t have any KPF’s that really concern me or that I don’t think Barrass, Schofield, Shep, Yeo And Hurn can’t handle.

Travis King said he needed strapping to the knee he copped a knock to during AFLX, but later tweeted he thinks he’s ok. Would think if he can get through the next week or two at EP he could debut either round 3 or 4 with the back to back home games.

If we want to go forward we have to pump games into the guys with upside like Venables and Waterman. There should be no suggestion of dropping them after one game.

We really don't need 3 talls down back, especially if none of them can lockdown. Schofield should really be a backup to Barrass/McGovern at this point in his career.
Also if that's all we're going to get out of Masten, let's just play a kid or someone more defensive like Hutchings.

I think we all agree Nelson out. Masten wasn't that bad, if Venables had done as much you'd all be peeing your pants, I'd say he gets another week unless Ah Chee is fit. Schofields spot will depend on matchups, so probably only one or two changes.
Vardy offers more than Lycett but that may be a few weeks away.

Masten was surprisingly pretty serviceable, as was Schofield. Nelson wasn't bad either to be honest. Schoey might be unlucky if we decide to go in short against the Dogs.

Don't want to make too many changes, let guys get settled in their spots for a bit before we start throwing people around.

It may be that the coaches believe that it is not possible to replace JK. This is very short sighted. We can't rely on JK being available. Waterman may be a talent but he is 19 with no experience. JD is unreliable. What were the selectors thinking? How do we replace JK? Was there some talk about Schofield forward?

I think Cole might be too similar to Nelson, I would prefer for Watson to come in. MacKenzie for Schofield if available. Hutchings for Masten, Masten is even more outside than Gaff but with less ability to accumulate which means he's got very little value at all, really. We need Achee back in.

Also, right now Shuey is our most important player. He's not perfect but if he's not playing we get smashed in the middle. We need Redden, Sheed, Duggan, Yeo, Achee, Venebles to really step up in the middle this year because if Shuey gets injured then we are probably not a chance against any team.

Emac isn't even running yet. In the last injury update it sounded as if there could be doubts about whether he actually plays this season.
