I actually believe that Wallace was right that several mistakes in the first 15 minutes sapped our confidence and set the scene for the night. But that doesn't mean it is excusable.

Richo - missed from 30m in opening minutes
Brown - missed snap from 35m not long after (should be his bread n butter)
Simmo - dropped mark in back line
Backline - many out of character stuff-ups in 1st qtr

From then on, the team as a whole were woeful. Luckily for those above that they have points in the bank.

I imagine we are going to offer the old line of not making changes to allow players to redeem themselves - but that is not on!

Out: Cousins (inj) - In: King
N Brown to go on the ball and do something
J King to play forward and apply forward pressure

Out: Raines (inj) - In: Rance
I assume Raines will miss, but not sure
It is time to give Rance a go, bigger body but still offers some run

Out: Edwards - In: Thompson
Edwards out as we just have too many small outside players
Thompson to offer some inside possessions at stoppages

Out: McMahon - In: Polo
McMahon, almost solely for that effort against Waite
Polo to offer some man on man hardness across half-back

KING!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU PEOPLE THINKING??????

What was wrong with us tonight? Our skills dropping easy marks overhead.

What is wrong with King? as above.

Sure he can tackle etc. but no hope he should come in.

Rance only certainty in.
king would have atleast got the team fired up when they were down.

Out : Cousins, Edwards, McMahon and Raines

IN: Jake King- to play forward line and create some pressure down their, got none of that last night.

Polo- should have been in last night anyway

Rance: As Above

And depending on fitness id go with Cleve Hughes and he can play the CHF role

Also how is Pattisons injury going does anyone know? he is a big loss for us, he is pretty handy around the ground, more value then browne and graham thats for sure.

Shame we cant get a full list on the park for a while,we have coughlan, johnson, cotchin, pattison, hughes, connors, pettifer and polak on the sidelines

what about BOWDEN...did absolutely wank. This is his last year of AFL football. Drop him now and bring in connors.

we could drop the majority of the team after last night i think we would have showed a bit more ticker then them all.
Out: cuz,Raines,(both injured)mister skills jordan cant say his last name, bowden(to slow),
In: Hislop,Thompson,Rance, really need hard bodies next week against geelong wether we have a y of them is another question that needs to answered. looking forward to see what happens on the track this week id have them on there know

OUT: B Cousins (inj.), A Raines (inj.), S Edwards
IN: D Polo, A Thomson, A Rance

Alot of people calling for Joel Bowdens head. He's a backman, he's always been a backman and while he's in our team he should continue to be a backman. No point playing him forward, he's no good there.

Raines is a massive loss. Provided a hell of a lot of run out of the backline. Give Rance that position. Let him show us what he's worth.

Edwards should never have played, and Polo will replace him.

Thomson to provide a bit of a harder body, and to find the pill to dish it out to the outside runners.

And lastly, a prayer, because my god we're gonna need it next week.

OUT: Raines inj, Cousins inj, Edwards, McMohan

IN: Thomson, Polo, Hislop, Rance

McMohan and Edwards were insipid last night

The "back 3" in Moore, Thurstfield and McGuane should be put on notice. A debutant kicked 3 goals on Thurstfield while, McGuane's skills were awful (but he was good against Fev), Moore had a shocker

OK guys suggest the changes you want to make for the game against the Cats. Be warned though don't start with the out Wallace in Sheedy crap as it will be deleted. Just stick to making changes to the side that will run out.

Out: Cousins Raines
In: Rance Polo

out TW in - anyone who can get the players to play for him.
RT, you gotta face the music dude. I can guarantee you, that a change in the coach would result in a trunaround in our fortunes immediately. Forget the game plan and just get someone in there that can get them to play for him, not to a game plan. Think about what happened when Northey entered the fray back in 94...you might understand what we are desperately lacking. ;)

we absolutely sucked. Utterly pathetic.

In: Rance, Polo, Thomson, Hislop, Graham, Hughes

Out: Cousins, Raines, Edwards, McMahon, Schulz, Browne

will make very little difference.

Jackson on Ablett> Heaven help us...

Polo is a must inclusion this week. How this guy misses out time and time again.. who knows.

Typical though, we play against Geelong (likely to get thumped) and he'll be out against the Bulldogs in Round 3.

dont doubt it, will get the job on Ablett and or selwood and will get dropped the following week for not doing his job :o

Outs: McMahon McGuane Cousins(inj) Raines(inj) Browne Edwards
Ins: Collins Rance Polo Thomson Graham Hislop

Out- Cousins, Edwards, McMahon, Schulz, N. Brown, Raines
Ins - Thomson, Collins, Polo, Hughes, Connors (if fit), Rance

what's Coughlan's status?

Out: Raines, Cousins, Schulz, McMahon, Edwards, Jackson

In: Rance, Thomson, Post, Collins, Connors, Polo

Now I'd change the structure of the 22. Something like this.

Tambling---Moore---Thursfield
Newman--McGuane--Deledio
Thomson---Brown---Richardson
Morton---Riewoldt---Connors
Bowden----Post----White
Simmonds---Foley----Tuck

Browne---Rance---Collins---Polo

This side has a reasonable balance of skills, experience and big bodies. We need far better kicks of the ball coming out of defense, so Deledio goes in, and Tambling is an improvement on Raines. Post should be given a shot at FF, Schulz is never going to be the answer and the kid has a big body and can take a grab. White provides some defensive forward pressure where none existed last night. Connors provides another class avenue to goal. Rance should be played as a HB/Wingman with some limited KP defense time. Polo and Thomson come in to provide some much needed toughness.

That's about as good as we can get it I feel. Still won't be anywhere near good enough to beat Geelong.

Out - Walls Lane Maher they made eddie sound unbiased

Make sure no one kicks to Jack if he will mark any further than 40 out.
Better talk to the guy sitting under the ball.

Didn't think it was all that bad, thought the second quarter umpiring stifled what looked to be a good potential comeback.

Carlton got a strong emotional run on with the unexpected input from wiggins, betts and waite.

I would be confident against them in a rematch. The game was lot more free flowing than what I expected.

Out - Cousins (inj), McMahon, Bowden, Edwards, Browne
In - Hislop, Polo, Rance, Thompson + back up ruck.

Team, with new structure - i.e. Richo stays at CHF, Riewoldt learns his trade as 3rd big man, Schulz hard lead from goal square, Mitch&Brown&Tambling all to be at the feet of the big guys and look dangerous.

Newman to the wing to use his running and kicking skills, Ditto with Deledio. Foley, Tuck to win the hard ball. Rotated with Jackson, Thompson off the bench.

Thursfield to do a job at full back. Moore is CHF given his running, rebounding skills. Mcgaune as the fearless, floating 3rd tall. Any of these three to be rotated with Rance. Raines (if fit) and Polo if fit are rebounding defenders. Raines given a bit more latitude to play his running game. Also, would be keen to see him have extended time in the midfield as well. Polo can play tall if need. Hislop plays as a lock down role and this is seen as an opportunity to earn his way into a more midfield role.

B - Hislop, Thursfield, McGuane
HB - Polo, Moore, Raines
c- Deledio, Tuck, Newman
HF-Tambling, Richo, Riewoldt
F- Morton, Schulz, Brown
FOLL- Simmonds, Foley, White
Bench- Thompson, Rance, Jackson, +back up ruck.

Against Geelong, the only IN which Richmond have a hope with:-
