If I was a betting man that would be my bet as well
I just hope we don't play Porplyzia.

I can't believe people think Moran will be dropped. Ridiculous.
And we won the next week did we not?![]()

West Adelaidehis around the ground play has been good and he looks a likely customer for the future. But as it stands today, Tippett is the better 2nd ruck option. We lose momentum when Maric gets rested.
I think we will .....he is very important to us ATS
Releases Douglas to the midfield and adds a bit more pace .....and we need Porps footy nouse AP in the forwrd line .......not a lot of thinking by our forwrds today![]()

West AdelaideBut those were the same brilliant forwards who smashed the talented Essendon last week? right![]()

As for Douglas, in his defense, he is a natural midfielder being played in the deadend role of a small forward. I would like to see him spend more time on the ball.
OUT: Moran, Dangerfield,
IN: Vince, Tippett.
My Thoughts on Gill have been made and he did have one out of the box last week.
But build a forwrd line around him .....
C98 the two in Stevens & Gill just did not work together as a team today
Last week Gill was on the end of every forwrd pass and was always in the eyeline of the ball carrier.
Today he & Stevens were always hopelessly out of position giving the ball carrier very limited options

West AdelaideThe forward line today has been reminiscent of most times we have played a good side this year, it wasn’t anything new. It’s not going to work with Stevens and Gill at the central point of attack.
It didn’t work against Geelong (8 goals for the night), it didn’t work against Hawthorn (10 goals for the night) and it didn’t work today and i cannot see it working next week against the Dogs. Against quality opposition, we have no forward line.
It’s time for a change in philosophy for the forward line.
Gill is only a stop gap player until we can develop the younger forwards on out list. He has some good games but he gets found out to easily. He is exciting to watch though and gives it his all but I can't see him being on our list past 2009.
Spot on. Gill like McGregor, Bock, Perrie, S Stevens, is a stop gap forward who will hold down a key tall forward role until we can develop a QUALITY tall forward. You will never win a flag with Gill as your primary focal point, but at least, unlike the other players I mentioned, Gill adds abit of excitement and unpredictability to your lineup. I would prefer Gill over the rest every day of the week.
Yep ..time to bring Tippett back for the finals with Porplyzia next to him
So who is Geelong's QUALITY tall forward ? And if you say Mooney you are kidding yourself. How are the Cat's travelling ?
I would take Mooney over all the players I mentioned and without a second thought.
West AdelaideI believe we need a Cameron Mooney type player to take the pressure off Nick Gill and he will be a very good second foil player, unfortunately Scott Stevens is not that player.
If Trent Hentschel can get back to somewhere like his best next season, add a Nick Gill, Jason Poprlyzia and a Taylor Walker into the mix and we could be onto something. Nick Gill as the focal point in attack will not work.
I reckon Tippett is that player .....another PS and the improvement will be quite significant as his all round tallent is awesome!
13 possesions is much better than Bryce "I am a 9 possesion superstar" Campbell!Ah here we go again, la-la land fairies. 13 possessions, new career high for the gun that is Richard Douglas? Accepting mediocrity.

I think you are the last person on this board that should question someone's intelligence. If anything, some of your comments are the definition of dumbSpud, how much game time does Douglas get? About 80%. How much does Campbell get? About 55%. Campbell's role has been as a tagger, Douglas' is to win the ball.
Surely you're not that stupid? Or is that a stupid question?

13 possesions is much better than Bryce "I am a 9 possesion superstar" Campbell!
FFS you pure hate of Douglas is childish. Maybe you need to get laid to release all that tension. If Douglas was a Norwood player you would be worshiping the ground he walks on.
Seriously dude, get some ****ing perspective![]()
