Treloar looks really good, saw him doing some snaps for goals and a bit of running. Reckon hes been told hes allowed to go full blair.

Does anyone have any idea if the Pies are doing an open training session over in Perth this week?

My handicapped Brother is a diehard pies fan and I’d love to take him to watch & hopefully get a pic or autograph.

I'd be surprised if we didn't get a session at Optus Stadium on Friday evening. We're yet to have official word so keep an ear out.

Ah. From what I believed (not what I knew), the first VFL final was this week and we had to make it to the second session to have a game during the AFL bye. So is there a VFL bye week too or is there another roster game to go? Either way, it gives a further opportunity to Treloar, so I'm not so urgent in my desire to see him play straight away. (Although I want him fit as soon as possible)
I do follow your VFL threads in a dilatory sort of way, as the only real way to know what is going on there, but from Hobart I only see the rare telecast game on 7. The variability in your contributors makes for a rather lopsided view on VFL football from my end, but it is at least a view.

Can’t drop Oxley after today. He was, well, not exactly good, but solid. The unlucky one would be Murphy, who will be a player but isn’t yet quite ready.

Main prob with Oxley was his poor kicks but hopefully can clean that up this week. I def saw one turnover that resulted in a pport goal and maybe one other, and def another 2 or more poro turnovers. But other than that he was good and marking and spoiling ws solid.

One more home and away game to go, at Victoria Park. It will be live streamed. A win and a Top 4 finish is in play, pending other results. After that, it's straight into the finals.

When the AFL introduced the bye for the 2016 season, the VFL was scheduled in a way so that its finals would start on the AFL bye weekend for exactly this kind of contingency. The amended rules now allow AFL players who would otherwise not be eligible to play VFL finals to do so in the bye weekend.

My concern with playing Treloar in week 1 of the VFL finals is that there are only two surfaces that I would feel comfortable about playing him on in that comp: Victoria Park and Kardinia Park. And we will not be playing on either.
