Changes for Round 3

I agree that Caroll was very good, played an intelligent game today which is something you don't always see from him. Obvious choice is to get Rivers back in to replace Miller and Newton and Moloney for Garland and Davey.

Only 1 bloke on here has considered Whelan as an inclusion?
Have you all lost the plot or something?

Whelan should be a MUST in next week...
Surely?

I dont understand how they had neitz playing in the wing/hf most of the game.

Should have cleared out the 50 and kicked it 2 him, his one of the best forwards when it comes to 1 on 1 contests. Surprisngly, Chopper had a decent game.

Once again we got 2 see a glimpse of Cale Morton. This guy has the same frame as a stick insect but showed more committment than most of the other players. For somebody who has played only 2 afl games he makes the senior players look like overpayed pretenders!

I am 23 yrs of age and have supported the dees for 17 of them and I have never been more ashamed to admit i am a demons supporter after the crud we have served up over the last 2 weeks.
Mate you can tell people you support the Dees with pride. Forget the shit that we cop, it is times like these where you show your colours that show what kind of supporter you are. Dees supporters get wrongly labelled as unpassionate but the true ones are some of the best supporters you can get in sport let alone football. The team has let its supporters (members) down so far but don't let it change the type of supporter you are.

Keep your chin up.:thumbsu:

On another note, Maloney will possibly be back in the side this week to add hardness but don't underestimate the point of Bailey dropping him. The coach is making a statement to Maloney (and other players) that they must play their specific roll and that no matter how bad we are going nobody's spot is taken for granted. Bailey obviously values Maloney as a player so far as he wants him to become better for us and take the next step. Maloney will be a better player for this and his next game should be a corker. This was one of many facets of Daniher's coaching that was lacking and which has lead to our situation of many players wanting to go about it thier own way instead of the proper way .

If I was you blokes I would be tempted to give Nathan Caroll a fair stint in the reserves mainly due to his attitude.

Hard to expect the rest of your guys to maintian professionalism, when you have that guy letting the team down with silly indescretions.

Are you serious? He was fantastic today. Absolutely under attack and saved alot of goals. Hes workrate was first class

Carroll was on of if not our best yesterday. Showed the first glimps of form in a long time.

Cale Morton showed compusure and was able to hang onto the ball unlike the rest of the team. The only positive to come out of the game.

Surely as professional footballers the melbourne players have learnt how to hit a target by hand and foot over the years.

Its not that difficult to a) hit a moving target with a handball b) decide not to handball to a player under pressure c) make the decision to kick long to a 50/50 contest rather than handball to one.

Was he on the BOG Murphy

24.17 I dont think there was many more goals that needed saving.

He got his workrate because the ball kept on coming down to his area from our guy's.

I thought Cameron Bruce was your best defender basically holding Johnno down to for his standards a pretty ordinary game. Which also probably caused the Dee's defence another problem becuase the Dog's midfeilders started to look for non Johnno forward options in Welsh, Hill, Aker and Murphy.

I also noted things got really ugly after Davey went from the feild.

This should be the team and the exact positions they should line up.

FB: Whelan Carroll Bell
HB: Petterd Rivers Frawley
C: Moloney Jones Morton
HF: Sylvia Newton Bruce
FF: Green Neitz Wonaeamirri (if Davey's injury is long term)

Foll: Johnson McLean McDonald
Int: White Bartram Dunn Bate

I know that he isn't the favourite at the moment but there is no way in hell Wonaeamirri would offer more to the forward line than Robertson at this stage.

Sack them all, except Junior, Jones and Neita.

In all honesty you can't keep Weetra and Garland in that side. Weetra is a dead set stooge on the field. Garland will be a player in the future but he's way too raw at the moment.

If we win this coming week, I'm going to becoming a practicing monk and live in the mountains

PS: Those wanting to drop miller, check your heads. Didnt set the world on fire but he bloody tried in all of the 50 positions he was moved around in.
That's the thing though, he really doesn't fit into a position. Rivers is at least a potential CHB, Miller never will be. Newton is a potential CHF, Miller never will be.

Cats just beat Bombers by 99 points at Telstra Dome. I think I should put down the crackpipe in regards to what I am about to write, but I hope we can put in 4 solid quarters next week and get over the line.

I'd say we should worry about putting together 4 solid disposals before we worry about putting in 4 solid quarters.

Buckley to be BOG, Melbourne by a point;)

Out: Garland, Weetra, Bode, Davey if unfit
In: Rivers, Frawley, Whelan if fit, Moloney

Would like to see some positional changes as well, Miller to CHF was a good move, i'd like to see Sylvia to a HBF, Bell to a wing, Green to a FP, and Neitz to stay deep at FF.

OUT - NEITZ an absolutely useless leader and ain't got a kick for 3 years
IN - BROWN, GODFREY, please come back, where are you we need you.

Try this for size
IN Thompson,Simmonds,Jolly,Bassett,Farmer,Armstrong,Johnstone all better than the bunch of *******s out there at the moment....

Heads up Dees.

You will find something on the track this week, mark my words.

We will turn up cocky like we do, and you will give us a scare up to 3/4 time, but I think our class will get us up by 5 goals in the end.

Remember its at skilled... Could be wet and windy and wont be a 100 blow out
