Im just venting or hyperventilating after todays horror story.nikoski wasnt our worst but hes like a lot of our more experienced players; just do your bit and fade into the background and let somebody else do the inspirational things, the hard things, the 2nd and 3rd efforts, the team lifting things.Nobody in this team is willing to step up to the plate and say F###K you im gonna give it my body and soul and die for this team,NOBODY!!!!

Heh, don't worry. We had a worse loss against the Saints in 2004, and look what happened the next year:D

We'll come good soon enough. Might not be this year, but it'll come.

No Chages, make these guys who stood up last week take responsability for this performance. Some of these guys need to be put on notice.

And if Hunter aint fit enough to go back then **** him off, I am sick of our club playing blokes not fit.

If changes are made and I guess they will be then these would be mine.

Out

Fletcher - Ask him to retire from AFL Skills are a disgrace.
Jones - Not an acceptable performance, to loose and does not know what to do with the ball when he gets it.
Embley and Hunter - Premiership was 3 years ago, stop reading your own press and actually do something.
Hansen - Can't mark above his shoulders, to slow.
Brown - don't know what the hype is about this guy.

Ins

****ed if I know you can throw a dart at some names, Wirra, Butler and Kennedy certainly but for gods sake no Staker. Couple of other kids.

But seriously I would put the onus back on this 22 to stand up or **** off.

He played a hell of a lot better than brett Jones. but senior players just geta game and don't have to perform.
No, he didn't

He was our worst by a fair margin (and that's saying something)

But carry on

In all seriousness he was not great, but cmon you and I could kick goals on Brett Jones. Jones was an embarressment to his club today and just because he runs around like a headless choock looking like he is trying his guts out does not make you a good player.
Although probably not his fault he was left on the ground to get consistantly carved up by anyone which went on him.
Davis is a kid and will make mistakes, Jones should not be making those mistakes and playing so loose on his opponents.

Spot on. The kids are going to make mistakes that you don't expect from the senior players. From what I've seen of Davis he's a quick learner who is prepared to do the hard yards. I'd be inclined to keep in the team for next week despite having a bad game.

What's happened to Brett Jones? I thought he was pretty good the past few seasons. Is this related to the injury he had, is it attitude, or is he just finished?

?????
Brown was nowhere near our worst today?
Considering the amount of ball being pumped in there, brown, mackenzie and glass all performed admirably.
In fact, if you check the votes thread, many have him in the top 5. 16 disposals, 8 marks and a disposal efficiency of 81%
Grab a clue.

For f***s sake all of you, quit with the knee jerk shit.
We have played 3 games, count them 3 games, one of which we dominated, and as soon as we get pumped by a clearly superior side, suddenly players are past it hacks.
It is a complete joke.

yeh mate a BF vote thread would be pretty reliable source. Top 5 my arse.
Grab a clue? What the hell is that? I said I can't see what the hype about this guy is and you are telling me to grab a clue.
Why don't you tell me why you think he is so good then and I will respond.

And mate if he could only manage 16 disposals today playing in our backline then he was pretty ordinary.

While there will be definately some changes made ,6 or 7 changes is way probably unlikely.

There are a few guys that have been on the edge for a while that need to be seriously loked at before anyone else like Fletcher, Embley & Hansen. A guy like McKinley who didnt look interested at all today may also be on the choppinng block.

But we have to have the players performing in the WAFL, or have players that are capable of being beter than who they are replacing.

I hope Wirra is back next week need his experience and poise. I would bring back Staker and play him in the midfield for the next 5 or 6 weeks, full time. Scott Selwood would also be a good addition to play as a small defender or add a bit more grit in the middle.

Als I hope we can try and get a forward structure that can work and perhaps suit the players we have. We dont have world beater guys to play in the forward line but surely we can work something out to be far far more dangerous.

Very poor effort today.

Fletcher - seems to think the object of the game is to either give the ball directly to the opponent or to his teammate that is about to get crunched. Terrible vision, and is tied 1st in the league with Clangers.
Masten - Hardly remember seeing him play (8 disposals, 1 contested possession and 0 inside 50's).
Nicoski - disgraceful effort (9 disposals, 6 clangers).
Brett Jones - was schooled by Goddard, allowing him 4 goals in the 1st. Bad day for him, as he's normally very good.
McKinley - I'm not sure he's flexible enough to adapt to the new game plan. Just seems lazy. Doesn't have much run in his legs.
Davis - was undone by the Saints pressure. Had 4 Clangers.
Embley - forgetable performance.
Ebert - see Davis.

Considering this week's effort, we'll have little chance against the Bulldogs. With nothing to lose, why not drop the non-performers from this week, and put some pressure on them by letting some of the younger guys have a crack at the Dogs?

Out: Fletcher, Nicoski, Masten, McKinley, Davis, Embley, Ebert.
In: Scooter, McGinnity, MacNamara, Kennedy, Wirrpanda, Butler, Schofield.

If the Dogs use the same team as this weeks, it'll look something like this:

................................Brian Lake...............................
.................................Hansen.................................
............................................................................
..........Dale Morris........................Jarrod Harbrow........
............Hunter...............................LeCras..............
............................................................................
.....Ryan Hargave.......Tom Williams.......Lindsay Gilbee....
.........Lynch...............Kennedy...............Hurn.........
............................................................................
.....Nathan Eagleton......Ryan Griffin.........Daniel Cross...
.......S.Selwood.............Priddis............A.Selwood.....
.............................................................................
......Brad Johnson........Mitchell Hahn...........Josh Hill.......
........Stenglein...........MacKenzie............B.Jones......
..............................................................................
........Jason Akermanis...................Adam Cooney...........
............Wirrpanda...........................Brown...............
..............................................................................
................................Will Minson...............................
....................................Glass..................................

Followers:
Rosa..........Higgins
Cox...........Hudson
Kerr...........Boyd

Interchange:
MacNamara, McGinnity, Butler, Schofield.
Addison, Giansiracusa, Picken, Everitt

Making these changes would be a good kick up the bum to those poor performers.

The joke is that people like you are happy with poor performances and are happy to just say its 1 game here and another 1 there. These guys are ex premiership players blah blah blah.
Accept mediocre performance and it was not even that.

So instead of just bagging every post why don't you enlighten us all with your wisdom of everything is going along nicely and 97 point, non competitve football is all part of the plan.

Darren Glass 1 kick 9 hand passes
Eric MacKenzie 7 kicks and 10 handpasses.

I dont htink disposals tell the real story even down back today.

I think Brown is a bit overhyped by a lot of the eagles faithful. But I do think that he wasnt bad today.

I would back a vote poll thread consensus over a joke of a poster like you any day of the god damn week.
Mitch Brown is a promising KPP. He can play at either end, is very strong, athletic and has superb endurance. He has had an average of 11 disposals (more than glass or mackenzie) 6 marks and a disposal efficiency of 78% (bettered only by hurn).
Today he got more disposals out of defence than glass, nicoski, davis, hurn and jones, everyone in our defense bar mackenzie, who bettered him by one.

Do you ever stop and think; Why am I the only one who thinks this?

I'm not accepting mediocrity at all you half wit c***bag, i'm just saying we should perhaps give the players more than 3 f***ing games before we decide that they are hacks. Bones has been one of our best in the past 2 years. He wasn't bad last week, so what the f*** are you going on about? If Kerr or Cox were to have a bad game, heck 3 bad games, would you want them dropped, would you call them hacks?

Quit with the immature knee jerk shit and give the players a chance.

Smart. :):thumbsu:

People are entitled to their opinions without being abused.

Just because someone says a bad word about Brown it doesn't mean that they are a "joke of a poster".

It's not a knee jerk reaction being embarrassed by todays result. Anyone who's not embarrassed and doesn't see the need for change(in whatever area neccessary) needs to have a long hard look at themselves.

We dominated against a Port Adelaide side who played absolutely terribly, there's no denying this. We should have won by 80+ ponts.

I agree with you Brown was pretty good today, but seriously just because someone doesn't share the same opinion, there is no need to lay abuse their way.

Where was I knee jerk in my post? I never said Jones was a hack. All I asked was whether there was anything wrong with Brett Jones as he has been very reliable in the last few seasons. Is there anything wrong with that?

There are a number of players - Fletcher, Seaby, Staker etc. - who were rubbish most of the time last year and seem to have continued on this year. They deserve every bit of criticism they receive as they are senior players that are expected to show the kids the way. Brett Jones does not belong in that group IMO BTW.

Today we were not competitive for a couple of reasons. One was the side we were playing was superior to ours no doubt. The second one was that the team didn't do the basic 1%'ers; stuff you would expect the under 19's to do. While we probably would have lost (I certainly expected we would) we got belted because of the second reason.

IMO there is room to ask questions in a situation like this whether you like it or not. Isn't that was a forum like this is for?

What a knee jerk reaction. How about you give others around here a chance to air their views. Whether you like it or not this is a public forum setup for that very reason is it not? If you can't take it that some of the players have their performances questioned then perhaps you should avoid reading those posts. The abuse isn't necessary either.

Well then super coach how many games you want to give them? Staker, Seaby, Fletcher, Embley, Hunter, Nickoski?????

No one called anyone a hack, I called Staker a goat because he is one.

We have had more 10 goal plus quarters kicked against us in the last 25 games than we had in the first 20 years. It needs to be addressed now, today. Not tomorrow.

Your comment on jones is exactly why it is hard to read your tripe, He has been servicable at best, he has never been good. He would have had more goals kicked on him than any backman in the last 5 years, not to mention the amount of times he try's to take on the opposition and then turns it over for a goal to be the end result.
Bottom line is I like Bones and he does try but this board needs to stop trying to make players better than they are, he is a servicable backman. Nothing more, nothing less.

But you want to keep posting your abuse then thats fine. The players have had truck loads of chances, or do you work in years not games.

Its just to hard with idiots like you. Wouldn't know one end of a football from the other.

Smart. :):thumbsu:

Not at all Mitch, if you go back to an earlier post i said that we should retain the same side and make these guys have to stand up and be accountable for their performance. Ask them to see if they can turn it around.
