seriously couldnt care less what happens but if i see hansen or fletcher run through that banner this weekend i run onto the field and give them both reasons to retire.. ok maybe a bit over the top but f*ck woosh, open your eyes mate.
I agree mate.. the frustration is mounting, Hansen come back to swans..and stay there. Fletcher... Just GO!!!
As opposed to what Hansen does 3 out of every 4 games?

Since Kennedy has been dominating the WAFL so much to demand selection?![]()
where did i say bring kennedy in??
He's the only like-for-like replacement that isn't in the team.

Wirra in for Hansen, go a bit smaller against the Dogs. Brown into the forward line and Hunter back to the backline would be good. But I don't think Hunts looks right, if he's not he shouldn't be playing!
Im not a Fletcher lover, and you would be hard pressed to find one. I just defended him from the ridiculous over the top criticism by many supporters (people act as if hes the worst player to pull on a jumper). I cant defend his performance on the weekend as it was atrocious, however so were many others. Anyway I believe he should be dropped now.Where are all the Fletcher lovers gone?
They were certainly here after Round 1 to defend his game and his position in the team...
NFI
OUT: Mckinley, Hansen, Rosa, Fletcher, Embley, Masten
In: Kennedy, Wirrpanda, Swift, Cockie, Butler
Mckinley obviously wants to be traded home. Done nothing to suggest otherwise and we saw he can do much better last year.
Hansen is too costly on the rebound.
Rosa is a twig who is no good when the going gets tough.
Fletcher is a front runner who doesnt work hard enough when we arent in position. Might as well not be out there when we dont have the ball.
Embley has lost the hunger to win. Has his premiership and looks distinterested. Trade bait.
Masten needs to go back to the WAFL. Nothing about him suggests he is a top 3 draft pick. Extremely disappointing. All those who bet on him winning the rising star have done their dosh. Has pathetic evasive skills. Looks like a link up player at best for us.
In: Kennedy, Wirrpanda, Swift, Cockie, Butler
Agree Ebert worries me. I dont think he has signed for next year and port may do a Josh Carr with him.OUT: Fletcher Hansen Embley
IN: Swift Kennedy JMac
Swift is a must has shown glimpses of what he is capable of, and is worth giving a shot 3 to 4 games to really see where he is at, I think that the only reason that Fletcher is the team at the moment is that he has worn an All Australian jumper. Send him back to the WAFL and he should only be reconsidered if he gets in blistering form. Embley is either still suffering from his injury or has lost the desire/passion to fight out a game like we had to before the recent glory years send him back to the WAFL to get confidence in his body or rediscover the drive to play for The Mighty Eagles.
JMac has aggression and could easily replace Embley at the moment and I think that he would look at grabbing the opportunity and holding on.
Kennedy showed enough last year to at least get a 2-3 game shot he at least sows a lot more defensive pressure than Hansen
Out: Hunter, Fletcher, Hansen
In: Wirrpanda, Jaymac, Kennedy
If Embers hip keeps him out, then Staker.

Just because he had one bad game, it doesn't devalue his round 1 effort. If we were writing off players after the weekends performance we may as well delist Masten now![]()
Fletcher will probably spend a fairly long stint out of the seniors now but he shouldnt be ruled out of contention for the rest of the season.
As much as we're saying how bad we were on the weekend, why hasnt anyone recognised that the Saints just played extremely well. Our decision making and application under pressure has always been poor in recent times. We were under pressure the whole game on the weekend.
Everyone knows hes on the decline and technically his skills arent good. Physically hes better than most of our other mids. Which as EP pointed out the fact his stamina and ability to continue the "gut-busting" running and ability to find space suits our gamestyle is what will keep him in consideration for games. I'd say the fact he'll regularly play like a 6 or 7/10 ranked game majority of the time is what keeps him in. Whilst others can produce a 8-9 from time to time (whereas Fletch wont), they'll fade out in others and produce a 3 or 4 at other times.Fletcher has been terrible for the last two seasons, it is nothing new.
I am hard pressed to watch one of his performances and rate it above average. I reckon he plays an above average, not great game every 6 or so games and the rest are poor, and that is no exaggeration.
As I have said before I used to be a Fletcher lover back in the day, but it has been at least a couple of years since he has strung together admirable performances.
I am seriously gobsmacked that there are so many supporters on this board who want him to remain in the side...
