I must say I fail to see how Johnson could keep his spot ahead of Scotland for example. Heath wins more ball, runs harder, is better defensively and to be honest is probably a better kick

You must be joking. CJ barfed 1 kick last week and it's the first time he's missed a target all year. He's the best kick in our team by a long way.

Ratts said Armfield was a definite - check out the audio in The Gen's post - and it sounds like they're thinking about how to contain Jolly who's been kicking a few. That suggests O'hAilpin - and I'd love to see Carlos out there, getting under Bazza's skin, bringing a bit of spark to the backline. I reckon he'd be pretty hungry... wanting to deck another forward... get in his face... love it!

Not sold on Scotland - he was a big reason Carrots got so many touches last season... they didn't give him a lot of the ball. Armfield has a lot more dash out of the backline too - great for rebound.

I wonder if Stevens will play...

DOes anyone know the number of Jesus Christ, we need him to go and heal Jammo's shoulder ASAP ... I have no doubt we would have won on saturday night had he played, he is now one of our top 5 most valuable players in our side, esp to our fragile backline structure ... I do hold out hope he might play this week, but I'm not counting on it.

And yes Carlos should be called up ASAP .

don't like the waite on hall matchup. waite is best as a loose, running half-back that gives us heaps of drive out of the backline.

setanta is the ideal candidate for the job on Barry as I he is too strong for Bower, Thornton and probably Waite as well
