Robbo Kicked 5 for casey today so im thinking....

IN: Robbo, Wona, Spencer

Out: Jetta, Newton Johnson

Any chance we are going to see valenti play soon??
He's been in the best for most of the games Casey have played so far.

Look for Dunn to tag Ablett and shut him down on sunday

In : Robbo, Wona or Maric

Out : Juice, Jetta

Out: Newton Johnson* Jetta

In: Robbo Spencer Maric/Wona
__________________________

Jetta is due for a rest from seniors (although these are important games he's had).

PJ needs to get back to basics as a tall player (* is it the coach or form - who knows but either way I don't think we should keep Spencer out for too long a patch of time anyway).

I'll take mayby 4 or 5 Robbo's and a about 10 more Davey's?

Too much to ask?

Seriously, Robbo has gotta be in for Newton. And PLEASE drop Jetta, I think in a few years he could be great, but he's not doing his job. Give Maric a game for god's sake.

I have to disagree with you maggers, I think (besides his artocious shot on goal today), Jetta is getting better every week and I don't think he is really doing anything wrong. The team is down at the moment and they are failing in patches, not Jetta's fault, he trys his heart out in all fairness to the kid.

I noticed today that Cale Morton kicks the ball out of bounds on the full on a consistent basis atleast once a game.

He needs some serious kicking practice

but a good player:)

No idea booshboy.

Does anyone think we actually stand a chance against the cats this upcoming week? When thinking about it I know the most likley outcome is one of the biggest beltings to date but...would I be crazy in saying I think there is actually a ray of hope going in? Call me crazy but I feel we can really do alot better then most people would expect. I'm not saying we will win but...there's hope. Least it's at the G...right?

He was stiff then, got lumped with the ball in the back pocket, and noone tried to give him an option down the ground. Rather than blazing long and turning it over, he tried to hit a hard target short near the boundary, and just missed. Would rather him do that and try and hit a target rather than just blaze away and turn the ball over...

IN: (IF WE CAN)
ROBBO, WONNA, MARIC, JARRAH, Johnson
OUT: (PLEASE LET US)
NEWTON!! (Never to return), Morton, Brock (needs a rocket up his arse), Jones, Spencer.

Melbourne needs youngsters in, I know they will perform better then those i have allocated OUT!

... Firsly Johnson played today, not Spencer, you also want to drop 3 midfielders and bring in 3 forwards for them...
Morton - 28, Brock - 29 and Jones - 21 were nowhere near our worst out there today.

I'd personally like to think it would go something like...
Outs - Newton - well duhhhhh
Jetta - has done enough to show he will be around for a while, but is currently not up to AFL standard
Bate - TERRIBLE game today, is there something wrong with him?
Bartram - he doesn't do enough for mine.

Ins - Robbo
Wona
Maric
Grimes

In your opinion i think that Jones, Brock and morton should be sent to the reserves to shake them up, to show they are not invulnerable with melbourne.

I agree the ins are a bit strange but ahh well. The point is that Johnson and spencer were obviously the wrong way around. Forwards arent necessarily forwards as shown by the melbourne football club, lynden should be forward but he is mid... green should be forward but is used as mid. The same can be done for others

The idea of shaking them up is valid, but it would have to be done one at a time, you can't drop 3 of your highest possession winners(and full time midfielders) for 3 forwards(part timers at best).
As for Green and Dunn they are exceptions to the rule, Green is more of a mid than a forward and Dunn has ridiculous aerobic endurance, you would probably find that not one of the people you suggested to go in would even be able to play a full half in the middle.

Out: Newton, Johnson, Bate, Jetta

In: Robbo, Spencer, Maric, Wonnaeamirri

- Robbo in for Juice obviously.
- Spencer in for Johnson, PJ fumbled everything in sight and the Cats don't have a good ruck duo without Ottens so give Spence and Meesen a chance to ruck together.
- Bate needs some time at Casey in my opinion, give Maric a go up forward he's earned a game.
- Aussie to come in for Jetta, I think that Jetta has been improving quite a lot over the weeks but he's in need of a rest from the top level of footy.

*I'd give Grimes another week at Casey before calling him up, although I'd like too see how he goes against the Cats.

In Peter German's Casey Report he doesnt mention Spencer or Maric.
Did they even play?
Theres nothing about either of them in the 2's spiel either.

For mine:
INS:

  • Rusty Robertson
  • Spence
  • Maric (If he played)

OUTS:

  • Newton
  • P.J. Give him a rest from Casey as well for some basic motor skills training.
  • Jetta

KEEP AN EYE ON:

  • Wonna- another game or two down at Caseyland
  • McNamara- said to have been in the Scops "top four players" by German, even though he wasnt in the best, go figure
  • Bail- will be elevated to Casey 1's after a supposed blinder on the weekend

I agree with that but these are also hard games he's playing - he is putting himself amongst it a bit. Good games to get under his belt but I reckon his body would appreciate a temporary reprieve. We also have a plethora of youngsters that need to be rotated throughout the season. Like you I am happy with where Jetta is going though. Bennell is also going very well but at some stage he will need a rest too.

I will agree with you, Jetta has been improving, a very slow rate though. As you mentioned the team is down, and we all know we arnt going to be up in quite awhile, so why keep playing him? Give someone else a go I say, if the reports on Maric are all true and he has been impressive, why not give him a run? I take back my statement that hes not doing his job, because he has been trying. But it's not enough to keep me in the team when there are others they could be played.

Out
Juice - The man is kidding himself if he thinks he's an AFL footballer. If i'd f**ked up that badly i'd have been sacked.
PJ - Almost the same boat. Needs to address some fundimentals of what happens between his brain and feet.
Jones - The man is a good in and ubder player, but moving forward i question the teams ability to be able to have Syilva McLean and Jones all playing through the middle of the ground. He is just to slow.
Jetta - Done nothing wrong, its just time for a rest.
Bate keeps his spot but needs to be put on notice. Its hard to hide in a pocked when your a flaiming ranga!!

In
Robbo - God help us if he can't at least play this year out
Spencer - In and given untill at least Jamar is back to find his feat. Then we'll know where our ruck option are at.
Maric - Due
Wona - Early but we need something

In: Austin Maric Spencer Robbo
Out: PJ Jetta Bate Newton

Can't believe people are calling for Brock to be dropped. FFS he was in our best three on Sunday, and Jones had an average game but was very good the week before.

Our forward line next week will hopefully look a little bit better.

Wonaeamirri - Robertson - Dunn
Sylvia - Miller - Bate

We'll still get spanked though.
