I agree Yeo has the size, pace and strength to go on to Gray. Gray would destroy any other defender. Who goes onto Wingard?
With Wingard playing predominately midfield does this change the equation for who goes to him??

But, as so many here constantly point out, he has pace. Therefore his lack of form at both AFL and WAFL level is irrelevant to his backers.
Does he though or are his backers hanging on to 2012 still, because I haven't seen much evidence of his pace at AFL level and he certainly didn't show much yesterday in the wafl

Gray's gonna be a handful. He's killing it this season, and small forwards normally tear us up.
Honestly, this is going to be a tough game as I believe Port to be a top-4 calibre team.

They're convinced that he'll do a run down the wing, a la burning off Cyril in the 2012 GF, despite the fact that was a lifetime ago. Much like that often quoted definition of insanity they figure if you keep doing the same thing, ie keep giving him a game, you'll get a different result.

Vardy supposedly ok.

Out Redden Ommitted
In Jetta 1 last chance.
This is a move to get pace into team for a speedy Port. Mutimer was fastest in his draft year. Use Mutimer in the guts for Redden.

P.S id say Watson if we was not injured. We could upgrade him with Cripps injury. Very important month. We have some troops coming back. Lycett, Watson, Rioli, Petrie, Nelson.

Mutimer doesn't use his pace, haven't seen it at WAFL level. Contested ball is his strength these days.

After WAFL yesterday I dont think Jetta is capable of using his pace anymore. Never got out of a jog apart from once for about 2 seconds when he was running into the 50. Looked like he was going to fall asleep most of the time. After backing him early in the year I think he may be cooked now. Mentally over top level football.

We just did

Give him another go now he's had a taste and knows better what to expect

Only question mark is he had an ice pack on his knee post game so may not be 100%

Bring Karpany in if moots isn't right

Normally I want to stab my eyes out after reading one of your posts but this one is spot on

Vardy is a concern and it sounds like he's going to miss next week at least. Mcinness is the only ruck help we have - fortunately his recent form at EP has been decent. So it's him or a Giles solo against Ryder and we bring in another runner

Duggan also had a bad cork so he might be in doubt as well

Injury list is reaching critical mass where we just don't have enough quality to cover them all

On a positive note Rioli told my son yesterday he's hoping to be back playing in 2 weeks
hahah.. why stab your eyes out??? talk to me. what don't you like??

Judd also played 1 game for East Perth and the coach (McHale I think?) said that's the last game he'd be playing.

He was that good from the outset.
That's exactly what happened. Destroyed the WAFL in his first game and never played another game there IIRC

What is the point of adding pace into the team? 1 man is not going to make a difference especially when he refuses to use this supposed 'pace'. Control the stoppages, first hands on the ball and quick ball movement with clean skills thats what will make it look like we have this magical pace.

Let Jetta go, hes just going to frustrate and tease you by thinking he is something that he is clearly not.

Prediction: SPP to clean up Masten and cause tears.

I was out for a jog Saturday before last eg 9 days ago and saw the rehab group training down at Wembley Sports Park. Rioli looked very mobile

do not play Jetta... I don't think we will get his 2012 form. Its like have a man less in the middle when he is playing. I would keep the team as is, I really like there hunt for the ball to team showed so should be rewarded and not dropped. I hope Vardy is fit to play

Rest everyone. We aren't winning this one, so just send a seconds team.
The team needs to go into every match with the intention of winning. Also read that the Eagles have the best record out of all the teams for wins in Adelaide (80%). Adelaide are even 4th and Port Adelaide 6th!

wonder why Jetta is playing so badly - has he never grasped Simmo's gameplan? Also notice the other players don't use him much but perhaps that's because they don't have much confidence in him? He should be playing much better than he is. Does anybody know how his form was when playing for Sydney in his last 2 years there.
