Quick question: How can any team be called "a very good team" if it has a massive flow?

We will make the finals but probably just miss top four. We have a very good spine, good defence and forward line. Our midfield is good enough to break even with most teams, but struggles against the best.

My favourite away win was in Geelong in 2006, when the Cats got nine goals up before deciding to take us lightly.

That game just illustrates the difference between this team and that championship winning one. That team was full of warrior's who lived for the big moments, the big games. Full of belief that it could win anywhere, anytime, against anyone.

West Coast W/L home and away 2005/06 : 34-10

West Coast W/L home and away 2015/16 : 32-11-1

That team of warriors won 2 more regular season games across 2 seasons - did learn from their GF defeat though and went one step further the following year

It's easy to trash this current side because they have failed to meet big tests more often than not but they have performed pretty well all things considered

They lost against Port who finished 12th that season by 37 at AAMI - must have taken them (Port) lightly.

We were a damn good side in 2015 and probably would've won the flag against anyone else that year.

While we lacked the top talent of 2006 I think we probably carried less passengers in 2015.

Is why I refer to them as a very good side.

At the start of the season I picked Port to finish 17th, ahead of only Brisbane. They are obviously better than that, but I've seen them drop heads, sulk and go missing when the pressure's on. I still think they'll miss finals. WCE to hit them hard and win by plenty. I do appreciate that WCE by 40+ is paying $15.00, but I'd rather have a punt on that than admit the Eagles are average and Port are the real deal :)

That team was 8-0 playing a 1-7 Collingwood at the MCG in 2005. They lost. Couldn't beat Sydney at the SCG. Lost by over 70 points at Kardinia Park. Lost a home final going in as heavy favourites. Lost at home in the last when a win would have won the minor premiership. Lost to 13th placed Brisbane at home. Gave up a 36 point lead at Docklands to Essendon.

People forget that champion teams don't play as champions all the time. The win on the last day covers all sins.

We win last year and the GWS game becomes folklore. Proof of a team that can win against the odds. We win in 2015 and our QF against Hawthorn becomes club legend. They beat us 5 weeks earlier but we got them when it mattered, bouncing back like great sides do.

The middle stretch of 2006 from Round 10-16 could have lost us a chance at a flag. We went 4-3 with all wins being under two goals, including those two massive comebacks. In fact we were down at 3QT in 10 out of 11 weeks from Round 6-16 (round 9 we were up by a point).

So we've gone for the sarcasm route now?

Name a side that has a better, or even similar, record away from home as they do when playing at home.

Go ahead, I'll wait.

I gave you hawthorn and Geelong in the last 6-10 years.

No need to wait any longer.

You think we could have beaten Collingwood, Geelong at the mcg in the gf?

Well you'd think Vardy is out then because there's no need to elevate Mcinness if he isn't

So it looks like we're officially going to the bottom of the well with our ruck stocks

Good luck Fraser, you'll need it

Jimmy_the_Gent you're voodoo doll strategy has come to fruition

I think he has to be upgraded to be an emergency. Agree he will probably play but vardy will need to fail a fitness test tomorrow in Adelaide for it to happen.

Never in doubt, no one pushing for selection in the WAFL and he wasn't bad by any measure.
