I don't think the smaller set up works. Against GWS and against Geelong we struggled to find targets inside 50 when Moore went down. We just need another big guy to help relieve the pressure and allow our smalls to crumb.

Interesting that the 2 games you use to support your argument are the 2 games where we've been 2 down on the bench for a significant period of the game.

They are the two games we've been short up up forward. Having the extra key forward is just less work.

Way too early to make too many calls.

Possible returns from injury: Pendles, Maynard, Langdon, Reid (although apparently unlikely)

Possible VFL promotions: McLarty, Sier, Wills, Fasolo, Daicos, Blair

Definite outs: Moore

Under pressure: Crocker, Brown

Add Phillips to the discussion, hopefully he bounces back from the concussion. Really unfortunate to get the knee to the head from Mayne in that situation as he was starting to work into the game after a very ordinary start.

I'd still like to see Mayne out but he probably did enough to hold his place. Oxley played a pretty good game off a wing apparently so that'll make people happy if he was to replace Mayne.

Don't think there'll be too many changes. Yes we lost to the Cats but gave them a 1/4 head start, were 2 down for much of the game, and if we'd taken even half the chances we generated it would have been a lot closer than 21 point margin suggests.

And lost Moore who was playing KPF in both games. I think your drawing conclusions from flawed data.

And I think your counter argument flawed. Moore going down in both games helps my point more then disprove it.

Yeah, considering all the possibilities rather than just ignore them is obviously flawed, my bad.

Freeman was named best in the VFL.

Would it be a little bit too perfect for him to debut against and the hammy to go...again?

I kinda wishes he plays. Collingwood fans might actually see what he could have been.
(Ps. I wish him the best of luck, if he does play)

Very Early to go for changes but lets have a go

OUT: Moore INJ, Crocker, Brown, Appleby
IN: McLarty, Fasolo, Pendlebury, Maynard

Lucky
Wells give him another week but he better improve
Cox i think he has spent his credits now, taking all his marks around 45-50 and cant make this distance Looked not well yesterday as well.
Dunn Must be close with his Brain fades the last 3 games.

I think we'll be forced to play McLarty. Otherwise we will have to play Cox as the sole tall, alongside possible De Goey and Fasolo as the other key forwards. Just means when Cox goes into the ruck, we look pretty bare up forward for height.

Seems a good opportunity to bring him in with Reid and Moore out.

I feel a bit sorry for Cal Brown. He was going ok, but then was rested, then was held as a carry-over. So he hasn't been able to play too many games lately as he hasn't even been playing VFL.

I think he probably should play a month at VFL and rebuild some confidence. I don't see a spot for him with Adams in the side. Just think they are both butchers of the ball.

I also think my patience with Crocker has been pushed to the limit.

I'm not a fan of Mayne, and think it was a fairly ordinary 25 disposal game, but he will hold his spot on the back of that performance and he has been serviceable.

I'd go:

In: Fasolo, McLarty, Pendlebury
Out: Crocker, Moore, Brown

We need Maynard back, so will wait the injury update before commenting further. Also not sure how Phillips will pull up. Sier would be close to selection too I reckon.

He wasnt going that great before he was rested.

Why do people keep putting Appleby in the outs???

He was one of our best yesterday. Barely lost a one on one contest and only had one clanger that i recall and that was the errant handpass. His kicking was good.

Two out of his three games have been good.

Agreed, one on one he is near unbeatable.

His foot skills are a little sloppy but only made the one critical error (the dinky left foot kick on the full)

Been really impressed with his defensive work.

I can tell you all right now Pendles won't be playing this week and probably won't play the Doggies game either. That's a lock.

Well put. Hopefully theres quite a few changes though. Fasolo needs to replace Crocker and we need a tall to replace Moore....and we have only one candidate for that! McLarty. If Pendlbury Maynard and Langdon are good to go they are automatic ins. So theres five without even trying. Four if Fasolo gets overlooked again. Plus theres some queston marks on Howe.

A low number of changes will just mean our injured players are still injured.

Hi Kirby here and i call bullshit.

Bucks made it pretty clear in his presser that late in the game we really lacked Moore's arial work so I wouldn't be surprised to see McLarty debut at all. Mayne's probably done enough to keep his spot too. If Pendles isn't playing again I'd really love to see Dacios in as his foot skills are really great under pressure, never understood bringing Crocker in for Pendles, complete different players and roles, where at least Dacios plays that in and under contested footy.
