Out: Bail, Dunn, Garland, Wonna

In: McKenzie, Morton, Blease, MacDonald

Not sure Morton is what we need right now, unless he's had a massive attitude shift in the last few weeks.

McKenzie on the other hand, if he is fit enough, straight into the centre please.

B: Tapscott, Warnock, Rivers
HB: Davey, Frawley, Watts
C: Blease, Moloney, Bartram
HF: Sylvia, Bate, Maric
F: Jurrah, Newton, Petterd
FOLL: Martin, McKenzie, Gysberts
IC: Jones, Gawn, Evans
SUB: MacDonald
EMERG: Jetta

Green, Aussie and Bennell out until they show some heart.

Jetta is a bit stiff, I would put MacDonald in because he's a bit tougher.

I do agree that he needs to be more aggressive and harder at the ball. But i think saint kilda will experience difficulty in finding a suitable match up for a 192 cm winger who goes forward and kicks goals

Joel Macdonald would be the most boring sub of all time.

Bring back McKenzie.

I'd like to play Gawn. He would only up against McEvoy and Kositscke but the fitness would be an issue. Play Newton as a permanent forward and Gawn and Martin in the ruck. Then sub off Gawn mid way through the third. It won't happen though :(

I agree, but they would find it pretty easy to find a suitable matchup for Cale Morton.

I reckon we're in with a chance. The Saints aren't going too well and I'm sure we'll want to bounce back after losing by 41 points after being up by 31 in the 1st quarter.

Didn't the Saints do the same today?

They sure did :D
Almost exactly the same figures, too, if they hadn't have snuck in those two quickies in the final two minutes.

Am genuinely interested to see which team starts as favourites betting wise this week. Up until today, I had perhaps stuck my head in the sand and stubbornly thought the Saints were looking like turning a corner, particularly after the Carlton game, but from what I saw today, it is very hard to see them turning it around from here.

You guys seem to be in a pattern of 90-100pt win/40-50pt loss, so using that scientifically proven formula, coupled with the Saints current pattern
() I can see you guys getting up by, oh, 90-100 :D

Genuinely think you fellas will not only give the Saints a good crack, but have the potential to blow them apart. They are a slow side, and will fail to score much more than 10-12 goals, so if it turns into a shootout/high scoring game, you'll pump them!

Go Dees!

Well played. :thumbsu:

I'm a fan of Cale but don't want him back in the side yet. I want to see a 4 goal, 35 touch game for Casey and a bandage around his head from crashing packs (Not literally, you know what I mean...)

Unfortunately i think we may be restricted to only forced changes 4, 5 or 6 changes isnt ideal, but may be required.

Garland, Bail both injured and Dunn (probably suspended)

Rivers if fit (MacDonald as back up)
Mckenzie 2nd best for casey, a couple more games at casey would of been ideal to build fitness. But we need him ASAP.
Howe, has been building up nicely with consistent performances and was BOG on the weekend.

I didnt watch the game but heard Wonna was ordinary, wouldn't mind seing one of nicholson or evans be promoted and give a game or even Blease. I think these guys will add pace and most importantly some despeartion to the side.

Rivers, Mckenzie, Bate.

Job done and done.

this kid has a crack IN

Would love to see it, but won't happen!

Drop Green.

The only memorable thing he's done in the last three rounds is show off once by grabbing his badge once after he finally did something right and kicked a goal.

Playing like a goose atm.

Gawn to come in, give him a go at top level footy, he would be better off for the experience, it would also allow Martin to go into the backline and play a similar role to what jack watts played against north, it would also allow Newton to stay up forward.

Blease or evens to come in to replace Bail and his pace, like Gawn they will be better off with the experience.

Rivers or macdonald to replace Garland, if rivers is fit it's him if not go with macdonald

He did make a brilliant smother with his head when he tripped over against West Coast...

all of you calling for newton to be dropped should be ashamed

bails just needs to keep him deep forward for the entire game, crash packs like he did in the first quarter, thats what everyone has been crying out for us to do over the last 5 years, saying we have too many mid-sized forwards and no one with a big body

taking out newton would be taking a step back

bring back bater, works his ass off

I'd like to see Joel Mc for Garland, Bate for Dunn, McKenzie for Bail & Gawn for Bennell... Sub to be Ricky P who hasn't been setting the world on fire...

This allows us to combat St Kilda's height advantage, if needed Martin to go to Kosi if he starts to get on top of Warnock & Frawley to take on NR... All going well Martin & Gawn to rotate off the bench with Gawn to go to the goal square at times with Newton spending time on the bench...

Getting our hands on the ball 1st at centre clearances will be a major factor in us beating this mob, which Gawn will give us & we are not really losing anything by dropping Bennell, but you could also put Wona in place of Bennell...

I would also swap Tapscott & Jetta, give Tapscott a license to run & I'm sure Jetta would do the job on Milne...

My team

OUT:
Garland, Dunn, Bail, Wonaeamirri, Newton (if we are talking backup rucks then he has to go)

IN:
Rivers (if fit/ T. McDonald/ J. Macdonald), Howe, Blease, Evans, Gawn

FB: Bartram Rivers Warnock
B: Tapscott Frawley Davey
C: Evans Moloney Jones
F: Petterd Watts Howe
FF: Bennell Jurrah Maric
R: Martin Sylvia Gysberts
I: Gawn Blease Jetta (s) - Green

Pace is a must against the Saints

Howe, from reports and the highlights lead hard, marked well and used it well... finishing with a few goals

Evans, been a Casey standout the whole year ... takes Bails run with role??

Blease, adds a shitload of pace as well as class, comes in for Wonaeamirri with Jetta moving to the forwardline to exert some tackling pressure

Gawn, adds a ruck dimension which we desperately needs imo, height and finess... will need to be used cleverly or as a second ruck though

Rivers in for Garland... no brainer, T. McDonald would be my preference if Rivers doesn't pass the fitness test
