We will be without Scully, Trengove, Jamar, Grimes, Bail, Garland, Mckenzie

Dont know whos going to come in

I guess bate will have to come back, maybe debut a young kid

If dropping Newton for Gawn is what it takes to get Watts in the square again, than so be it. The bloke kicked two in the first 5 minutes and did **** all in the sense of leading, presenting and goaling in the last 115. Typical Juice. Dunn out means we need another second ruckman too.

Rivers if fit is fine in for Garland.

Evans to be elevated for Spencer, have him run with Montagna.

Blease's pace may not be suited to Etihad, but we need to see something happening on the wings. Really no longer rate Neville Jetta, absolutely no awareness. His time at Casey did nothing, keep him there until it does.

Bate in, Dunn out due to suspension I assume.

I thought we looked too light-on for defenders yesterday - Jones on the flank? Please. Put him in the guts. Plus we may need Bartram as a tagger in Bail's absence. Nor do I buy the theory of replacing Dunn (if he gets done) with another forward in Bate. We have plenty already - Watts, Jurrah, Green, Sylvia, Maric, Petterd, Wonna, Davey, Jetta, Martin/Newton. Many options for rotations through the forward line, no need for another.

After seeing how well Watts did this week, how about playing Lucas Cook or Jeremy Howe behind the ball? Need some taller bodies down back to contend with Kosi and Riewodt. Or chuck Morton back there. He really has to step up.

Excuse my negativity, but we can lose with Newton, or we can lose with Max Gawn. Personally would prefer the second, and get some games into that monster of a kid. I know we could produce an upset, given we can play 4 quarters without any injuries, but yeah.

Tossing in premature players into the lion's den just for the sake of it will actually be detrimental to their development and confidence. Not to mention Gawn will be knackered by half time.

PLaying Cook/Howe down back when it is not their primary position would likely end in a disaster.
These first gamers would be overwhelmed by the exponential increase in intensity that AFL brings.
Making mistakes in the back line would cost the team much more than making mistakes in the forward line.
