Going by averages its not much of a pessimistic stretch that Betts will kick atleast 3 or 4. He averages 5 goals a game against us. Chucking oshea on him will be atleast something we havent tried yet.
Our backline this time around is clearly undermanned and if we accept 70 inside 50s i cant see us holding up the dam wall again.

Im not saying Betts will win them the game but i can gaurentee you he will play well regardless.

When you are seeing spuds like Henderson, Everitt and Robinson tear us up when we had a full strength backline its hard to feel confident mate.

If we start getting beaten around the ball early on it will be a long day. Ill back our outside run all day but it wont be coming from the backline.

At the end of the day Burgess is a fitness guy not a gameday coach. His job is to get them as fit as he can. I think he went a bit too far with their endurance capacity this year at the expense of some physical size. As I've discussed I'm hoping they recalibrate a bit for next year.

From what I've seen on the boards today Shaun Hart has basically said Amon was dropped for not going hard enough at a couple of contests. Good, there's a hard lesson to be learned and the coaches have made the call. Others have been sent back to sanfl to improve aspects of their game. I expect Amon to fix up that issue and come back a better player.

Young is really hard at the contest but has to get his skills up to scratch or he'll be labelled a 188cm Tom Logan. Be good to see him just go and get it in this game and give a bit of run and spread.

Logan's skills look better than Youngs at sanfl level. Youngs second half ball use in the Norwood game was as bad as I've seen

The vibe I'm getting is that palmer will be playing. Maybe Amon is out with palmer coming in to play forwards and monfries goes up the ground

I much prefer Monfries up the ground. Think he is far more effective there than in his forward role.

I might be inclined to play Young from the start and have Krak as the sub. Tell Aaron to get on a guy like Laird or Smith and really clamp down on them the way Monfries does. This would allow Angus to roam more free but also give him the opportunity to rest up forward and take over from Young who can go into the middle when he does so.

Krak has not got a defensive bone in his body if anything sweeper or forward line...OSheas game last week was helped by elliott being injured so I hope he backs up Am reasonably confident However Trengove on Lynch would be a worry because of his mobility

Jonas probably has the best track record against Betts but given Tommy would probably cough up half a dozen against Nick Gill at the minute, that's not an option.

We can't exploit it because we don't have any speed. and none of them should be sub. We'll need Krakouer to break the lines in defence, and Young and Ah Chee to match their contested ball players. But I think Young will start sub anyway.
