Hayes really gets the chance to make a statement in the sanfl today. In 2 games Frederick looks better than DBJ and could very easily take DBJs spot.

Marshall was woeful last night, with dropped marks in the first qtr really denting team confidence. So even if Hayes did nothing, we would be no worse off. And have an additional ruckman if necessary.

Woodcock needs to go in my opinion. He has kicked 4 goals in his 7 games. As a small forward that's not good enough. I know he's young and hasn't played many games, but I get the feeling he is one of those players who is good at SANFL level but can't make it at AFL level. It's unfortunate that Dylan WIlliams hasn't progressed more, and this is probably the reason Woodcock is getting his current opportunity.

Why Clurey is ahead of him in the pecking order i have no idea.

As for the rest of the muppets last night - I think Burton likely missing gives Hartlett a reprieve. Hoping Lienert replaces Burton as a straight swap, could easily bring Bonner back onto the wing and push Bergman back to defence to replace Hartlett - wouldn't be against that at all.

Assuming Boak returns, would bring him in for Woodcock. Would like a runner as a sub, but clear that Mayes shouldn't be it. Every time he has come on as the sub he's looked completely out of his depth, as if the game is going too quick for him. He's clearly been unable to adjust to the pace of the game once everyone has already got themselves involved.
