Maybe so but there is plenty of turn and they are world class bowlers playing first class cricket. Will be I teresti g to see how Holland goes on the same deck.
O'Keefe is far from world class.

Time for Handscomb

Send Khawaja to open and let Ferguson bat at 3.

So let's reward Ferguson's great debut by having him at 3...I can see this going sooooo well...

Lyon has nearly gone 300 runs without a wicket now, but I suppose he's still a certain selection for the Adelaide Test lol.
Has been the pick of the bowlers for NSW honestly, not that it's saying much.

I'd be more than happy to see Usman go up to open and let a couple of young guys fight it out for a middle order spot, Usman goes back down to 3 when Marsh is back and Patterson and Handscomb play the last test against SA, the best of the two keep their spot.

Dean and Remshaw doing very well as we speak and may be smokeys but Bancroft clearly isn't up to it at the moment and Burns is terribly out of form.

Bit harsh on Burns. Scored a 100 in the shield game prior to the series, got out to 1 good ball down in tassie. If your dropping him you then have top drop Ferguson as well based on their performance in that 1 test match. I think you keep them both for Adelaide and assess after.

Whilst both Patterson and Handscomb may both be future main stays in the test team, getting a free test match as a shoot out for who plays the next series isnt on for mine. Voges is quite clearly gone imo. So there is definitely 1 top 6 spot open.

I didnt see enough in Mennie to say that he's ever going to be a long term option. Again, with the likes of Stark, Hazelwood, Pattinson, Cummins and a lesser extent Siddle and Bird, there's depth in the bowling stocks if the guys are fit. I cant see the likes of Mennie, Sayers etc holding down a baggy green long term. Im out of the loop in shield terms so dont know who the next batch of up and coming bowlers are.

I'd probably lean towards Sayers given the home field advantage.

Why isnt mitchell marsh playing for WA surely refining his batting technique in the first class arena should be a priority i would of thought. Even if the muppets at CA dont want him to bowl then dont have him bowl he has to improve his batting.

He is a first class number 3. He is in the team in a position where he performs or he goes.

Travis Dean's on 130 odd not out.
We know who it won't be, Burns or Bancroft. Narrows it down a bit.

Why not both? Hussey was an opener until he joined the Aus team. Sounds like they're both level headed batsmen, something we need at the top and lower middle order at the moment.

Warner and Dean's a perfect pairing.

Voges retired hurt, Handscomb 70*

Would have thought it's inevitable

Voges made it to Test level late at 36. Going by his dismissal in the Test match it looked like his "eye" had gone and wasn't picking up the ball as quickly. Maybe the same today? Age waits for no-one. Ponting had a couple of interesting bizarre-like dismissals late in his career to just before he retired.

Voges started late but made the most of his time at Test level. Father time has caught up with him. Happens to them all. Handscombe certainly in for him.
